Toy commie cars at Poundland

Saw these today in the poundshop,

 

 

Made in China but appear intended for Russia, very detailed, I snagged the Lada and Gaz jeep.

I did consider clearing the shelf, but I buy way too much poundshop tat, these were in Edgware but I'll have a look in the Watford branch as I'll be there before I next visit grotty Edgware.

One of my deliveries is next to Poundland in Barrow, so as you may imagine, I have a load of these!  In fact there are two of the Ladas (yellow copcar and green civvy) on my desk in front of me right now.

That yellow Lada is probably the most detailed of all that series of Commieshite models.  Pretty impressive for a quid.

Ghosty: Manchester?  You're not that far away, invest in some petrol and check out the Barrow Poundland.  I'm sure other branches are available but I do know this one has stock.  If timings fall suitably, there might be a brew and a mini-AS meet available too!

Bought £9 worth of these yesterday; cost me £9. That's the most I've ever spent in Poundland.

 

They're pretty nice; generally good tooling but let down by the occasional fit of haphazardness during construction in whatever concentration camp or sweatshop they come from. Also probably got all SARS or some other exotic virus lurking within.

cleared Mansfield poundland today of there ladas 7  plus a couple of others that I thought looked  good so if anyone wants any  let me know but the postage will be more than the car !!

I found one in Ashton-under-Lyne Poundland - the UAZ jeep - last/only one they had. None anywhere in Manchester, or the one in the centre of York (checked on a weekend break).
