 Not to worry, it's not like I wanted one anyway

'Subaru MV Pick-Ups are now exceedingly rare due to the fact that most were abused and worked to death'

I think that's Yorkshire for 'Subaru MV Pick-Ups are now exceedingly rare due to the fact that most rusted to bits within weeks and nobody wanted petrol ones because they don't run on cherry'.

QUITE SIMPLY.........WOW !!!!!!

I hope you agree as you study my pictures.....SHE IS IN TREMENDOUS CONDITION.

I am sure to be this good she must have been fully restored not so long ago. There is NO rust.

I'm quite sure she must have received a quick blow over where masking anything off wasn't seen as even vaguely neccesary.

Look at the overspray on the seat! This sold for £720 last month at the Anglia car auctions.

Posted

I would not even have paid £700 for it, overspray on seats is a deal-killer for me I'm afraid. if someone cant be arsed to put a fuggin blanket over the seats while spraying, what else cant they be arsed to do? Bodging bastards. As for £2500, anyone who pays that deserves everything they get!

LOL, you could make that tomorrow for about a quid and no-one would be able to date it. What a cripple.

reminds me of the time I used to collect Bandai tinplate microcars and I saw a messerschmitt in black with a red interior - identical to my real car. The seller wanted $650 for it - I was in Pennsylvania at the time - and I told him I only paid $400 for a real messerschmitt car in the same colour. The Bandai tinplate car is still worth $650, the real thing is now worth $25,000 (£15,000).

nice bit of automobilia. a branded triumph ashtray

£450!

you could buy 2 actual triumphs for that!

I've seen one of those on eBay before. I didn't buy it because it was too expensive at something like ten quid.

I really like that ashtray, the thing is though i'd be putting fag butts out in it all day, if I was going to pay £450 for an ashtray i'd hire an eastern european prostitute.

Cortina,s (sic) are increasing in value

Only because people like you advertise them at over inflated price,s!

Posted

He's already built in the next 30 years worth of value increase into today's price!!!

Plus it has a Pinto installed - yuck!

Posted

Christ! That's the same price as a house up north!.

My dad had one of those back in the 70's before selling it for the Avenger Tiger, I bet he wishes he hung on to it now!.

Posted

Have we had this yet?

Mark one Escy, Lotus engined.....go on, have a guess.

That's about the 40th time that's been on, and they've still not sorted out the dodgy paint match on the rear 1/4s.

Posted

The mk1 Escort isn't some one of ten made Dusenburg or Auburn! I can't believe the price, especially as it's not original.

Oh, it IS original then?

Posted

I've lived in MUCH worse places than any of those 3 properties. Think "downtown Kabul" and you won't be far out.

I'd much rather have that Escort than a Duesenberg or Auburn, and I think it's better looking. It's just that it's £20k over the odds for what it is.

How fucking much is that escort  , thats more than my house cost

£50k over the odds more like! Look at his other "bargains" he has listed!

I think if I was flogging a car for 65K I'd try to get the model name right...

Posted

Some cool shite in the back ground - 504 Pickup, Dolomite etc

Posted Image

Look at that! - Like Pete says for £65K you would expect a fault free paint finish! :?

Posted

HOW MUCH?????? I'll take the Duesenberg please...

Posted Image

...like this one, at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas. Most of the exhibits are for sale, if you have the cash, and there isn't a non-matching rear quarter within 50 yards!

Like this for example...

...lovely looking bike but I'd see that at about £1850 on a good day. For the sort of money he wants for it you could get it's far more desirable big brother, the GT750 'kettle'.

Posted

I thought it was going to be a proper 3cyl "kettle" when I saw the ad, no some 380cc lemon that was crap when it was new.

Posted

Whoa there Neddy!

I had a 380 (late one, 1979 'B' model) and it was fucking ace. Except for the economy.

Lol! I had half of one (A GT185A) I'd buy another tomorrow if I could as it was my first ever motor vehicle when I was 14! RCA509P IIRC!
