Alexg Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I've been watching these barges with interest. They are freaking awesomely cool but cheep as chips. I've seen very nice examples go for under 4 figures... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1979-BMW-733- ... 1e6854cc35needs a bit of restoration sills should get it through an mot Not running at the moment fuel pump problem.Classified ad price: £2,000.00

Negative Creep Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/clas ... eeper/3846 £16995 That is bloody gorgeous. It is indeed, but not 17 grand gorgeous
eddyramrod Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 A lot of money but i bet its great fun , eat chaved up motors for tea http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-A40-Fa ... 738wt_1185 I'm pretty sure that's been bought very recently, and now belongs to an A40 club member! There's plenty of room for modified cars in the club, someone's just picked up a Mk2 with a Fiat twink, which sounds a barrel of laughs, and there's at least one other V8.
Alexg Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MegaManta-v8- ... 3cbe5502d7 Starting bid: £30,500.00 Reserve price not met 'kin hell!
autofive Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MegaManta-v8- ... 3cbe5502d7 Starting dreamprice: £30,500.00 Reserve price not met 'kin hell! EFA
Cavcraft Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I wouldn't mind if that Manta even looked nice. But it doesn't. Oh aye, I weighed a nicer looking 7 series in the other year than that over-priced one above. It was one heavy old car, especially once the interior had been flooded and the boot rammed up with crap!
M'coli Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 This guy's a freekin' dreamer: £1050 with no MOT andd needing sills, arches and the tops of the wings doing. I struggled to get £800 for my fully MOT'd mk1 with 2 new wings and a decent re-spray using the proper 70s paint.
Felly Magic Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Thats a fair few hundred quid's worth of welding needing I would say. What other horrors lie beneath I wonder? I would say the whole car is probably rotten to the core. Weigh in value?
cort16 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Check out this dreamer 1989 BMW 325I Touring with BMW factory fitted sunroof. Fully restored. Body mint. All structures and running gear sound. Have owned car for last 20 yrs as second owner. Sounds nice, I like these. 140 miles. I presume he means 140,000 as he says he bought it at 10,000. These things can take a bit of mileage so no problem. £12,000 Oh dear http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/classic-car-page.php/carno/117894
Felly Magic Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Knock a zero off the end, and they may be close. Bloody clowns
worldofceri Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Could be a 'deliberate mistake' on that Beemer to get some attention. Either that or the seller's been out of the used car market for twenty years and hasn't got a clue... That A40 rod on the last page is probably worth the money to someone with cash to burn. It looks nicely put together.
DSdriver Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/lancia-fulvia-/330638581147?_trksid=p4340.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DPI.WATCH%26its%3DC%252BS%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4257738134738772594#ht_1112wt_1037it has lots of service history weather not its full or not i can not say£6,100 3 bidsNo mention of the fact that these Fulvias are all time mega champion rusters or what has been done about it.Take a magnet with you
Cavcraft Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 /\ To be fair it's been bid up to that and no reserve showing as not met. I did lol at 'this guy is about 40 yo and couldnt charge a battery pathetic pansy. MAN UP!!!' in his feedback replies though!
theorganist Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 The guy who bought my first Allegro (the Gold one in the picture) is still trying to sell it for £1,395 with a smokey engine and no MOT!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Allegro-1300-SDL-4-DOOR-73000-MILES-/370539706074?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item5645e336da It is very solid although needs a little bit of paint but even with an MOT and a decent engine I still not sure I would pay that much for it!!
trigger Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-SIERRA-2 ... 3cbead43ef What would you say a 74000 mile Sierra GLSi would be worth?, £1500?, £2000 maybe?, well not this one... Price:£5,000.00 Buy it now
Felly Magic Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 He's having a tin bath at that price. That's Cossie money! Even 2 & half K is a bit rich. Total Twunt in my view
dollywobbler Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Easy now. It must be a special one or something. Look, he's got a Haynes manual sitting in the engine bay. Oh, sorry. I meant the seller is clearly 'special.'
Pillock Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Does it come with those squares of carpet? That might be a dealbreaker....
autofive Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 i have seen this parked up in Stanley, its clean, but not that clean. looks more like 600 than 5k. dont think the owner wants to sell, probably thinks he's being clever, but the advert just makes him look a twat
Cavcraft Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Hair dye is expensive though and she's going to need a lifetime's worth.
Lufthansa-Terminal Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Bet it owes him that in tyre black and polish
Felly Magic Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I bet 'DI Frost' of Ipswich is now thinking 'Hmmmm old blue might be worth a few bob'
trigger Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C262482 This VW "scene tax" has a lot to answer for, this ropey old Jetta with 154000 miles is up for £2995!
scaryoldcortina Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I'm going to go to the Royal Hotel in Stanley (seller's pub... there is a website) and stand at the bar bragging about my huge collection of Mk2 Sierras.
Cavcraft Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPARES-AND-RE ... 20bf1f0a48 No MOT, no tax, it's a Renault and it's automatic.
CIH Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPARES-AND-REPAIRS-RENAULT-CLIO-RT-AUTO-/140645435976?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item20bf1f0a48 No MOT, no tax, it's a Renault and it's automatic. Lol somebody has odd poriorities. No MOT, a shot exhaust and brakes and the first thing they did was replace the wheel trims.
Cavcraft Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Incomplete, no MOT or tax and 'just' £10,000... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1980-FORD-ESC ... 25695777dd 'Idiots with stupid text offers will be ignored' He started it!
