Welcome! Top shite finding, but they should be in the normal ebay thread. This one is reserved for mocking overpriced tat.

How long have you even been driving, you're a young chap (or you hide your age well!)

I've been driving about 14 1/2 years. I had an extremely high turnover of shite for several years, with up to 21 vehicles in the fleet at a time. I've slowed down a lot over the last three years or so though.

/\ Not worthy etc.

Self indulgent thread definitely required.

I concur. I think I've seen that list before, but it's still pretty mindblowing stuff. How long have you even been driving, you're a young chap (or you hide your age well!)

Was that all roadworthy stuff?

We are not worthy wuvvum , thats a monumental list

......and how do you get images off eBay to do that?

"Enlarge" to view image in new window. Right Click on the image -> View Page Info -> Media.

Sometimes takes a couple of tries before the correct right click menu appears.

That car would be a half to a quarter of that on leboncoin - I had to hold back my phone hand a number of times whilst browsing it when I was living in France.

EDIT: Just found one in much better condition for 600 Euros, and an older minter for 1200 complete with a full CT. What a mentalist.

just passed the MOT at a cost of over £800

I expect you had all the rust patched over, or maybe that's the cost of bent MOT's these days?

Plate is transferrable and worth approx £2500+, if you dont want it I will lower the price but not by £2500! The plate is the original from 1960 (174 AFJ) DAAF DAF TAAF ALFRED JOHN JONES???

Nope, looks like 174 AFJ to me.

Conclusion = TOSSER.

£3,499

I don't get this 'private plate' bit and people who think their £300 shed is worth eight grand because the number reads OKF 211T or whatever. As a rule it usually goes one of two ways when you call them about it: they tell you the plate is worth nine million quid so you tell them they can keep the number and you'll buy the car for it's actual worth so they will make loads of money if the number is worth what they say, or they insist that they go together for a ridiculous amount so you put the 'phone down on them.

Anyhow this seems one hell of a lot of money for an unfinished, incomplete giant Meccano set...

LPG or not I'd have thought you could score a half decent Defender for less than this thing, DW's being an example?

I can almost understand where he's coming from.

Before he costed the parts at the bottom of the listing I had added up over £3k worth.

Now if he put the wheels on, shoved a battery on it and gave me a milk crate to sit on so I could have a burl around his yard to confirm the rebuilt box and engine "runs superbly" then I might offer him somewhere north of £2k.

Assuming I had a tired but complete Series 3 that I wanted to rebuild.

However, the fact that it has no radiator (how does he know how well the engine runs?) has been sitting for at least two years, only has an upgraded front axle and not rear, etc makes me think he's a complete mong.

Toyota.com reckons that a new Toyota Tundra CrewMax 5.7 starts at $42.555. XE.COM reckons £58k comes out to $93k. So either A) Importing the car cost more than the car did in the first place, B) The car has the longest spec-list evAr, possibly running as far as anti-helicopter armament, cloaking device and Personal Jesus system, or C) the proprietor of G.W. CAR SALES (HALIFAX) LTD is a morally bankrupt anal cavity just waiting for the first wealthy and stupid builder to turn up wanting "the biggest pickup in Yorkshire".

Have to laugh sometimes at the inflated value of US imports. I regularly see '80s Camaros for sale for deep into four digits, in the US they throw them away.

I see that a lot too, people trying to sell FWD Buicks, Cadillacs, Lincolns etc for around £4k when in the States they are all available for the equivalent of about £500.

That Audi while nice is about 7k over the odds, its also missing the chrome arch trims.

Seems a bit much for what looks like a scale model.

Just imagine the hordes of paddy wankers you'd have to deal with if you were selling that Toyota, it doesnt bear thinking about. Saying that, maybe it would be a few less nowadays, seeing as the digger-driving and executive-shoebox-building industries have collapsed.

I reckon I could put up with a few if, as RoadworkUK has suggested, I was making up to £30K on the deal!
