Just stick it on day insurance to get you home. Worry about insuring it permanently once it's sorted.

I can try and punt it on Dave, (I'm sure we can come to an agreement over a split of any profit :-D ) but I will need it gone by about the 28th December.

You take out a new policy with someone, say like Tescos, you drive it home and then you ring Tescos up and cancel the policy within 14 days and you get no charge.

Job jobbed.

I must admit, I have done this, though I think I did get a small pro-rata charge for the days the cover was in place. Rules may have changed since then.

I may have a run to Manchester this week, if I got it back to Stamford for the cost of my fuel would that help you out?

Ah, I done it last in 2010 when I collected my 1602, I thought that was too good to be true.

to get tube to Euston Square.

Short walk to Euston where i caught 10:10 train to Chester.with  about a minute to spare.

When i booked my ticket i was offered first class for 80p extra so a rather scruffy Dave carrying an orange carrier bag duly plonked himself in first class much to the chagrin of the upper class troglodytes who frequented it.

Many glares from both sides later i settled in to a lush 200 mile journey with free coffee and snacks.

Arrived in Chester at 12:10.

It was much too early to meet  cavette as he was at work till 2.

So took a slow walk into centre of Chester and had a look around.

Saw this on way.post-1-0-42571500-1387355259_thumb.jpg

Had a Whopper & what they laughingly call coffeee in burger king.

Then  made my way up to Cavettes who had said he would pick me up but i had time to waste.

Long bloody walk,

I should think you did travel first class.  You're the Chief Technology Officer of a massively* popular online forum.  He's just a guy who wears a tie because someone else tells him to.

*Well, we like it.
