Really, it's nothing like Hinterland around here! For a start, watch that drama and you'd believe that Borth has trains going through it continuously rather than a handful of times a day. I might take the convoy to Borth. It is a slightly creepy, very odd and unusual place. I think Autoshite will like it.

I thought breakfast for the campers* was going to be a joint affair by the sounds of it, square sausage from the Scotoshite community, and other ingredients from the rest of us ... I was planning on bringing Lincolnshire sausages and some eggs from my sisters chickens.... or maybe some sausage meat to make in to patties

 

If the campists are to provide culinary treats for each other can someone else other than myself make sure they have cooking implements. Rolls 'n' slice for 4 folk (2 a piece) was just manageable with one frying pan.

Hi guys I think I should be able to make it to this meet, I remember the meet at the bubble car musuem being great fun whenever that was but I have been on long time lurker status since then

 

I should be able to attend in the SC100 assuming it is operational but if not I will be in the old faithful Volvo 940.

Well I never really post very often at the best of times lol so I can't blame the SC100 for that . It will be going for an MOT next week so fingers crossed, assuming it passes I will be taxing it at the start of March & then I am just going to drive it as much as I can to make sure it is reliable.

 

I have hopefully fixed all the annoying problems it had before I laid it up such as blowing exhaust manifold gasket, lousy gearchange, jumping out of fourth gear etc so it should be delightful to drive!

Bumpage. Following the recent Poll, we will visit The Internal Fire Museum on the Saturday night. This is free, though car sharing will be necessary to get us there and back. I propose leaving at 5pm. We will grab dinner in Aberaeron (chippy) then head to the museum. The event starts at 6pm and finishes at 9pm but obviously, we don't have to stay for the entire three hours.

Lady Serendipity has presented me with an opportunity too good to turn down.

I can't think of a better way to spend my last weekend in the UK than in a soggy Welsh field in the pleasant company of dismal motors and their reprobate owners.

Im happy to accommodate whoever wants a lift. It seats 8 but there are no seatbelts for the rear most and middle benches. Im hardly going to be tearing about in the 504, im a steady driver anyway, but I understand if you would prefer to go in something else!

My plan for this is to leave London early on Saturday to get there for 12-1ish, and have Monday off work which means I'm in no rush to leave on Sunday. I should have new shite by then too. At Shitefest 2012 my Renault 25 provided quite pleasant sleeping quarters but I'll book a room this time if there any left at the local place for not local people.

I was originally planning to drive the 6 there heroically, camp at least one night, then drunkenly haggle a purchase of fresh shite from another attendee to drive home in, where I would then be either divorced or castrated upon arrival. However, as I'll have a van by then, it would be SO much easier to just A-frame the 6 there, and sleep inside the van. Easier, but somehow 'cheating'.
