After last year he probably still has cold sweats and a fear of all that is not a Lancia. Especially Binhoker.

*SHOCK*!!!

Yep it is a shame to see some of the older more experienced Shite-ists leave as I was hooked on their posts before I joined here a couple of years ago, I still think though that the content on here is excellent and it provides me with some of the biggest laughs I have, and long may it continue

Most of the time I can't remember my own name, let alone the name of other people that I have admired or been amused by on here.

I was encouraged to join here by CMS after lurking for months and reading about epic tat rescues from far and wide. I run a late 80s daily because only because I don't have the balls to run obscure 70s and earlier chod without back up.

Folk have come and gone in the few years I've been here but this place still has a vibe that it hasn't lost and there are some great things happening right now.

Also, all the best to Mr. Bickle. Your tat collection is an inspiration to us all!

Since the forum has been revamped I find that in order to contribute I have to log in every time whereas before I was logged in all the time. So now I have to find where I have left my book of passwords because I can never remember it. Is there a cure for this? The question applies to both memory loss and being logged in.

My best wishes to Mr Bickle too.

I found this site by googling Renault 14 a few years back (which took me to the Mr Bickle Renault 14 rescue thread in fact). This place has proved an inspiration in making me realise that owning and keeping an "old" car on the road is entirely possible, even if the black Maxi tested that theory and dented my old car love for a bit!

I think generally this place has a great atmosphere, there are many helpful and interesting people here, I have had the pleasure of meeting a few. There are some great stories and projects.

Anyway, long may it continue and thanks to Daveb47 and others for getting the old girl back on the road!

Ironically perhaps, I posted in this thread yesterday but I think it got eaten by the server. Anyway...

Michiel, he was good.

whitevanman's not been around of late....

He did spend three months before his last visit here emailing me weekly saying "don't sell your car to anyone else, I'll be down with cash this weekend!!1" which was really, really helpful.

Seeing that Skoda in the tat thread just reminded me, where did DaveRapid go ?

  I'm still about, love it here, just had a lot on lately. I done an MOT and some repairs to Electric Leyland's Audi 100 recently.

Tontops, Torsten/1001/2001, CIH, Mouseflakes, Renomad, 55bloke, retrogeezer to name but a few. 2008 was the best time that I can think of on here. That's when I joined and there were regular chats about Maxis, Renault 14's and retro Italian car chase scenes.

I'm still here, I check in most days but since 2008 I've moved into a run down house that needed lots of work, got married + had 3 kids. I'm a bit busy! :-)
