Pug 205XS For Sale - £395 Grimsby

Hello Gents,

Due to my impending legal bill from splitting up with Mrs. D, i'm popping my 205 up for sale

It's an 89 1.4 XS, test til mid Dec, no tax but I can at cost, its got about 90K on it, goes well, the body is pretty much rust free, although it does have a plethora of dents, the worst being the drivers side wing which has been bumped and straightened at some point, and the lacquer has all fallen off the roof.

Interior is good with the exception of the drivers seat bolster, none of the door cards, dash or parcel shelf have been cut.

Other bad bits, I've no idea when it was cambelted last, and it has a knock from one of the CVs when turning left. Oh, and the clock hour goes mental.

Price wise i'd like to see 395 sheets for it on the 1.9gti wheels :) or £300 on some nasty 5 spokes

I hope wor Will doesn't see this, he loves 'em. The last one he had threw a leg out of bed, but it was thrashed mercilessly up to that point.

Fab, but those wheels look surprisingly wrong on that car.

Still looks wrong. Can't explain it, something about the front wheel or arch gap? Or are they like well wide?

It is however quite a nice looking car. GLWTlegalbills.

Not helping the sale, so apologies Mike D, but I think the wheels are too big and the tyres too small. That said it might probably handles better with less sidewall flex.

Posted

Actually, if you want it on some awful awful 13" 5 spoke alloys, you can have it for £350

Posted

it looks better in the flesh wheel wise, the steels are only 14s with 185 60s on so not massively out of size or anything :)

Posted

Mine was on 14" 1.6 GTi wheels and it looked ok, but the ride height of anything other than a GTi is for crossing a French ploughed field so loads of gap between tyre and arch.

Good luck with the sale, the 205 is WELL WEAPON on twisty roads

Swap for a 5 door S Reg 1.3 Fiesta?? No tax no test, needs charging fault fixing... PM me!

You'll be lucky, Will! Offer him that Rover diesel instead.

And what's with this liking your own posts again? :D

Hmm can't hit the edit button properly Joe. Not sure if I can afford to let the Rover TD go, it only costs ne £20 a week in fuel compared to the Polonez/Samara pezzers at £35/week. I would swap it any day for a high spec DTurbo or STDT. Or a yellow LHD TD 205 Van. FTW.

Sorry Cameron, had a Sceptre before. And a hen shit in it. Not going there again!

KFC drive thrus aren't what they used to be

I remember really wanting one of these when I passed my test, as the likes of Max Power claimed it was the fastest car you could buy without gettting raped for insurance

After certain people's experiences of Joe driving my 205 1.8TD this weekend in Malhamdale, the likelihood of this motor going to a Shitefester has increased.

Or not, maybe - in some of your eyes.

Sideways with 5 passengers on a wet road in a 205 has an uncanny tendency to polarize opinion.

Same. I would DEFINATLY have this m8 if my girlfriend's boyfriend's son wasn't going to uni and I need to drive him becoz he's allergic to chickens  shame becus its a really nice motor know what I mean m8
