Also how about changing forum title from General Chat to something more interesting like The Autoshite arms or The garage or...?

How about Maestro/Allegro for the ranks or LDV Sherpa & Sherpa coupe.

 

I dunno about the forum name change though ... I'd be tempted just to leave it as is, or Main forum, this is it, don't bother looking for other sections.

Do away with the ranking system and replace it with the Haynes manual spanners (more posts more spanners). Symbolising the difficulty of removing the poster from his computer.

 

Alternatively replace it with a more obvious hierarchy - start with Basic, then Popular, Popular Plus, L, GL, GXL, and finally Ghia. (Or non Ford equivalent).
