Lazy spotters thread

A few spots I found on my camera.

I see this every month or so on my trip to Chilton for work. Always forget to take a pic, not this time though!

In my local town when I collected a Ruby.

Spotted this while on a farm with a few units on it, now gone so I reckon scrapped.

Found this at a garage near nottingham, got talking to the owner and it's lifespan is unknown due to lots of rot.

Funny watching an old car on 'my' route. It must be what I look like to the general public.

Acceleration was good with the V8, impressive in fact, but boy did it barrel over when it came to the bend :D :D :D

Couple of Rialto's in that yard. Where about is it?

Gadbury Auto Salvage, Atherton, Manchester

There was indeed about 5 different ones, 3 TR7, number of Rovers and good selection of older stuff

Cougar seen at Brookland,Romney Marsh, the chap uses it as a mobile advert for his business and entered in the local carnival. It was frowned upon when he took it to the War and Peace show recently!

Couple from me this weekend.

1st up - beguiling little Fez in a colour which always reminds me of primer. Very much of its time.

Someone near my office has recently seen the light, come off the company scheme, and won at life. Impressive long boat in "Goldmember Bronze"

The second Traction Avant I've posted pictures of in this thread. This one lives in Hackney, E9. Local car to me that I often see pootling around.

Love that Traction Avant.

Somebody near me seems to be using a very similar one as a daily! I see it all the time locally but never manage to grab a pic of it.

I imagine Tractions Avants would make a decent daily. I assume they'd be a nicer drive than British stuff of a similar vintage. Weren't they pretty advanced for the time? I haven't checked the plate on this one to see what year it is. A late one possibly? I've had the good fortune to be able to snap two of them in the wild in the last couple of weeks or so.

- Edit: This one a couple of posts above is a 1954.

This one posted a few pages back is a 1955.

Posessing a deviant sense of humour and a keen interest in 'counter culture' - your current job selling basement conversions is somewhat at odds with your overall outlook on life.

Looking to bring a bit more colour into your world, you hatch a plan.

You check your employment contract no fewer than 18 times, becoming increasingly reassured that you really CAN spend that company car allowance on any mode of transport you so wish.

You decide to pull the trigger. There's no point in half measures: you're no homo drinking cocktails from a jam jar in a Hipster bistro. You're a man. Not only are you A man - you're THE man. (You're also the reason that the rest of us have strict terms and conditions on what we spend our allowance on.)

Monday comes. All of a sudden... this doesn't seem like such a good idea. As the boss pulls up in his heavily financed Audi, you begin to sweat. Shit. "Should have bought Rob's Rover 75" you repeat to yourself.

It's too late.

Recoiled in the fetal position, you quietly sob whilst the gaffer tears you a new one.

But. Deep down... it was so TOTALLY WORTH IT.

Here's a couple for you;

First up, what I thought was a Silver Cloud, but which turned out to be a Bentley S1.

Bizarrely where the Cloud was much smaller and narrower than I'd thought, this just looked like a great big old lump.

Odd, isn't it?

Then sat outside the Old Crown the other night and if this doesn't pull up & park right in front of me...

Chap gets out, 'Fuck me' says I, one original owner!

but elderly chap had only owned it a year and was more into old bikes, he has a Francis-Barnett.

This for anyone that cares is a '59 100E with an 1172cc side valve/3 speed.

And finally an oddly scene Cav 1

Lowered, wheels of dubious origin and a scene roof featuring a rack and Danny Torrance's trike!

Hmmm, experiment not so good. They're meant to be 1080 pics but they're compressed to heck. Might try cropping before upload.
