Lazy spotters thread

I saw a couple of them at a dealer's in Milton Keynes once, must have been about 30 years back. I can't remember how much they were but well within my pocket. I did know a fair bit about them so I ummed and arred for a while and decided I'd never be able to afford to run one. Ok, I chickened out

Meanwhile, waiting for a mate in a carpark here I spotted some old crap shite you lot might like:

The first two were actually quite tidy, the Yugo just looked well worn but looked after.

Is that a 600?

Also has there been some sort of SM thing going off recently? There have been loads of spots of them on Facebook?

That's a Zastava "Fićo" (i.e. Yugoslavian copy of a Fiat 600). I was watching some old Italian film a year or so back with the wife when she suddenly exclained "I didn't know they had Fićos in Italy"

Maybe there's just one or two but they get around a lot...

Went and had a look at this jag last year when the owner was thinking of selling, he's still smoking around in it.

Not really, they started on an R plate (or possibly even a P, just). But everyone loves a W123 anyway.

Poor photo here. This was the only type of car at the whole show that I had actually owned in the past (I did once have a Dolomite for half an hour but I am not counting that). Bodykit on this was wank.

Sadly i think not. There was filler splattered on it and not sanded back and i dont think the paint of various colours was covering repairs. Think he was maybe trying to make it look like he was restoring it when he wasn't? More pratt look than rat look possibly.

in that case ill agree with you prat look just such a shame on a nice car

A few from the mark moor international vehicle festival !!! Sounds impressive eh but in reality was a load of tat in a field. Mainly mgf's and mx5's that they all think are classics. Any way here are the highlights

This manky moggie recieved quite a lot of attention. The owner was apparently a practical classics restorer of the year. Most comments seemed to be along the lines of when are you going to paint it. The spirit of exctasy on the bonnet was worth more than the car in my opinion.

I was surprised to see this still there in the afternoon after the heavy showers in the morning. Most Lancia's would of dissolved by the afternoon.

That little yellow car is a Berkeley Sports, I think, quite a rare little thing as most microcars tend to be.

The Daimler coupe is actually one of two Lanchester Dauphin coupes built but this one has been converted with a Daimler radiator grille at some point in its history.    Its pretty well documented as one might expect....

A few recent spots from me.

Another Austin 7, parked on the opposite side of the street from the other one I posted a few pages back!

Obviously this VW Campers probably worth a bit, so you'd think they'd put a less anachronistic plate on it:

Two elderly Land Rovers parked one car apart:

Here's a few heaps I've seen recently...

Not sure what I posted last so no idea if I've done this one...

Picture1838.jpg

Chunky Kitten spotted at Tescos in Cleethorpes. The little Suzuki logo on the grill suggests it may no longer be 850 powered...

20140716_152111.jpg

Plastic chod in Louth...

20140716_142051.jpg

Saw this on the way down to Pandamoniums gaff to fetch his Prairie. I stopped at this place for some lunch and can recommend their grub...

Picture1885.jpg

This was also sat outside the cafe...

Picture1887.jpg

And whilst there, this turned up on the back of a much larger, modern Volvo flatbed. Remarkably solid....

Picture1889.jpg

Fez in action...

Picture1908.jpg

We went down to RAF Conningsby to watch the Lancasters take of and whilst there observed this absolutely grade-A autoshite camping equipment. This is so right in every way...

Picture1965.jpg

Also in the car park ...some Minis...

Picture1959.jpg

This appears to have been built a very long time ago from a pair of vans. It had engines and functioning steering at both ends!

Check out this terrifying looking setup....

Wingnut for locking the steering...
