davocano Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Had 4x4 and Ghia badges on the front wing, was that a thing? Sadly galloping wheel arch and sill rot as well as some Barry Lexus-style tail lights It is indeed a thing. Quite a rare thing.

mercrocker Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Who was the amateur film director?! I have never yet seen that Daimler dirty, it looked like that all through Winter, too. Yoss and Magnificent Rustbucket 2
Yoss Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 He did apologise as he almost walked in front of me. I doubt he had any idea what the subject matter was. Annoyingly there was a Porsche 924 two cars in front of the escort but I wasn't ready in time. mercrocker 1
Amishtat Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Not pictured:fucked 206 alongside these beauties Yoss, danthecapriman and mercrocker 3

Amishtat Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 A year ago I wouldn't have bothered with this but it's the only T-reg one I've seen recently and not one on an S for weeks. Are they getting that scarce or is it me not noticing?
adw1977 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 IMG_20180514_203412.jpgA year ago I wouldn't have bothered with this but it's the only T-reg one I've seen recently and not one on an S for weeks. Are they getting that scarce or is it me not noticing?I think the early ones are getting scarce. Time to find a decent one and stash it away for a few years then £££!
Amishtat Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Kind of what I'd started thinking..There's one of the yellow millennium ones local to me too but I've never had a chance to get a picture of it
Zelandeth Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Winchester Homebase this morning.20180513_102324.jpg I thought it was a GTI20180513_102352.jpgBut apparently it's an unfortunately named STDT. I'm guessing some sort of diesel GTI lookalike. 1.8TD in that...That's a very rare car nowadays... Yoss 1
Amishtat Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Another day another dollop AlabamaShrimp, Yoss, egg and 1 other 4

Datsuncog Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Burbling through a small country town in L'il Thunder last night, when something snagged my eye through a dusty showroom window and I pulled over... Well, bugger me sideways. If it isn't a 2.8 Grandud... with white wheeltrims on steelies? Looks more like Ford Diamond White to me, rather than 'Cream', but it was dusk and I'm not going to start an argument. Other, slightly more borderline chod also a-lurking: Volvo floppytop, for one. MOAR shite visible out the back, too - though only the deflated Audi 80 B4 sparked much interest. There were some more old knockers parked further up the hill to the side, inc. Ford Ka, Mk1 Focus, and E36 flavour BMWs, again on flat tyres and looking generally unloved. The whole place had a somewhat run-down vibe to it, but is, apparently, still an operating business... adw1977, Magnificent Rustbucket and egg 3
Pieman Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Rancho at the Bondville model village near Brid. IMG_20180509_145905.jpg Is that a commentary on how much bigger modern cars have become? The Rancho is to scale but the Bini is nearly the same size as the caravan it's parked next to datsuncog - whereabouts is that showroom? looks like a very intriguing place.
Datsuncog Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 It's in Ballyclare, Co Antrim - a traditional wee county town garage, somehow staying in business despite probably selling something like eight cars a year. Trading for 50 years, according to website blurb. http://www.dealer.fix14u.co.uk/WilliamLoganCars/ If I hadn't been following the satnav rather than going my usual route through the town, I never would have seen it...
Amishtat Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Slim pickings today Magnificent Rustbucket and Datsuncog 2
Amishtat Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Nice Chinese dentist though Magnificent Rustbucket 1
Magnificent Rustbucket Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 What a lovely looking Daimler. Quite a suitable registration, given the quanities of Autoglym SRP is looks to have had lavished on it.
