I had quite a bit of luck car spotting at the end of April..

Not a SAO Penza sadly:

Went to our monthly Skoda meet the other night. Eight Octavia VRS's and and my poor little Favorit.

That's not very Autoshite is it?

But then this arrived.

Mk1 Fabia saloon. A car no one asked for. A hatchback with none of the convenience of a hatchback.

Now could be the time to nab one of those and save it for posterity before they all disappear (not that they were ever that popular, for obvious reasons).

2 for the price of 1 . There was a TR6 racer on a another trailer in front of the Sunbeam too.

Another 2 for 1 deal. Don't think I've ever seen a Crayford GT before( if that's what it is)

I don't think that Viva is a genuine Crayford but a DIY job with a Triumph Stag hood IIRC. Still a great thing to spot in a supermarket car park though and the A35 alongside is a nice bonus. Are they connected I wonder or do old cars just naturally gravitate towards each other?

Natural gravitation I think, a couple came and got in the peanut, didn't acknowledge the Viva driver, just like the 70's . Except of course Towcester wouldn't have had a Tesco. Or perhaps we should call it Tesco Silverstone, it is next door to Porsche Silverstone, after all!

Both from the park today.

Hate the lowered suspension but it's beige?? Thought the RS only came in a few colours

You can take a W124 anywhere specially a 300E wagen...left hand drive for added cachet...but UK plated. The other car is one of those Aston Whotsits...

Some well-preserved and loved 80's cars too...cool doesn't doesn't have to come with a 6-figure price tag in Notting Hill...you can still be a contender...

What else was about? Defenders are popular and older Volvo estates, no saloons seen. I missed nice Morris Traveller cus of a flat battery. Nissan Figaro too. That's all folks from sunny Notting Hill.

Yesterday in the capital I received abuse from the drunken contents of this automotive obscenity because I took this photo of them trapped and sweltering in the heat. The car parked in front prevented them from negotiating the bend and after 5 minutes of trying someone had parked behind blocking them in completely. Fucking Good Job.

Here is a bunch of shite I saw at the Abbey Hill Steam Rally this weekend.    Don't really like cluttering up the LST with show pics but have tried to avoid snoring old blokes in garden chairs and the various gonks and car club shit people seem to festoon perfectly good cars with.....

I heard the owner say he was going to restore this.  So I walked away, quite quickly.
