Speed dreams [BBC 2 last night]

Anyone else catch it? Hairy blokes in sheds making stuff that's liable to kill them. The spirit of British inginuity is not dead. Brilliantly narrated as well.

I watched the trailer online last week and it sent a shiver down my spine. It was on too late for me last night though, so I set the Humax box to record it.

Tell me it was epic. It's all I want to hear.

It was epic. The guy with the motorbike in the living room was a legend, "So will there be a women or the sound of pitter patter soon?", "Not fucking likely unless she's good with a welder!".

Was very good. The 90 year old american greasers STILL running down the salt make me grin.

Watched the first half of it last night, will catch the rest later on.

Super show, loved the guy making a crankshaft from a solid billet in his shed. 8)

Top viewing.

Chris Ireland is a legend.

Don't know if the mag is going still but Brit Chopper mag is/was excellent, friend of mine was the Editor.

None of your shiny cheque book builds and lots of other guff too, not just bikes, random shizz like a article about the Kettenrad for no obvious reason aprt from it was odd and had an engine!

Bloody excellent, that was. Furthermore, "mad props" go to Bill Nighy for doing the voiceover. I can only assume he genuinely found the subject matter interesting.

Thanks all, I didn't know what this was or that it was on, just caught-up on iPlayer and it is top notch.

The lads doing it with their friend's bke in his memory is really touching.

The damn Humax box didn't record it so I just watched it on iPlayer. Wow! Rose tints are firmly on, but I have no doubt in my mind that it's any different in real life. Really looking forward to next week's episode 8)

Watched the rest of it last night. Loved what one bloke classed as 'sewing' on his jacket!

Really looking forward to next week's to see if any of them actually manage to get the records they're after.

Watched it last night on the iplayer, absolutley fantastic.

Shows that it is possible to make a decent programme on an unfashionable 'niche' subject. Yes C5, I'm looking at you.

Yeah. What on earth is going on?

We had heavily promoted shit spewing out of the telly all Christmas, and then suddenly an amazing programme turns up right when you're not expecting it.

Bloody Thatcher.

always hacks me off that Eastenderstreet gets adverts for it all the time even though people that watch it will be watching it anyway! But I've lost count of the number of times I've missed something that was on and had no plugs for it whatsoever so I have to hunt for it on catch up or 'elsewhere'
