No I'm sorry that last one is just awful, I'd rather be pushed along in a wheelie bin; which may happen if Plan A (leaving my corpse on the roof for the crows to peck at) is turned down by the Council.

No no.... Plan A is wrong. Just fly tip your corpse in a country layby. The Council will be obliged to collect you within seven days and the view will be nice whilst you wait...

That´s a picture I took at my grandmothers funeral in spring 2013.

The typical Hearses in Austria are Mercedes-Benz E-Classes. The new W212- ones are very futuristic looking.

That's just crazy. I think I like it, which is more crazier still. But the Chrysler 150 diesel hearse must surely win.

That Chrysler is a bit special, unusual too to have the rails on the side under the windows rather than up on the roof.  The Seat is just gorgeous.

My auntie passed away earlier this year and the hearse and mourning cars were Ford Falcon based. Given their demise in 2017, I'm guessing that's the only chance I'll get to go in an AU Falcon.

Some bum basic ones in this thread though, that's for sure.

Was at Lincoln Cooperative yesterday to book mum's send off. No idea yet what hearse we'll get, but for the best part of three hundred quid it'd better be a Princess -- or ideally the CX from earlier in the thread. We decided against the extra £215 for the "limo" on the basis that my Disco seats 7, is nicer, and comes free.

I was just about to post - the current Coleman-Milnes, deprived of a diet of Granadas and Scorpios, are 4.0 Ford Falcons. And look pretty good for it,too.

I have never heard of one of these, it is a 1957 Nysa N-57 Mi.  Puts me in mind of a similar vintage BMC ambulance.

This '67 Chevrolet Bel Air is a bit of an oddity, I'm not entirely convinced it was supposed to be a hearse as the shape looks wrong somehow.  The colour does not, American hearses are often not-black which is something I quite like about them.

My mate passer away at the age of 29 last year... two silver Volvo 960 limos and a silver 960 hearse.

Felt a right tool in my silver 940 estate :/

I adore Nyssas, but then I have a thing for pantograph wipers. And dreadful machinery.

Following complaints about slow moving funeral corteges holding up the traffic, the Co-Op has introduced a new "Speedy" service.

Another reason why Chysler 180 Diesel made a great hearse, it woke the dead and smoked like the crem.
