FSO BO11OGNEZ

An excellent purchase. It's even got proper FSO mudlaps. I do like a nice mudflap on a car...adds a genuine touch of 'gifferdom'.

When I had SLK company cars I always had a lovely set of flaps put on....everyone thought I was a right tosser.

I've been trying to work out if this has any redeeming features and I've narrowed it down to having rear seat belts fitted. A fine addition to the Musée Bolleaux.

Nice colour :)

The side profile looking from the back is very Talbot Alpine

Utterly fabulous. I look forward to seeing it after it has had the Bo11ox magic applied.

Its certainly mega shite this thing, I suspect it will be even more shite than the Pony and that is already more shite than a lot of people have experienced in their lives.

I can’t wait to have a drive of it, I like how the gearlever is almost horizontal and has to be moved up and down rather than back and forth. I bet there will be a proper knack to driving it in such a way as to minimise noise, shoggle, vibes, body roll, nausea, indigestion etc. Its got a mega cheap ass CD player with SD card reader in, so hopefully i will be able to take the card out my digicam and have all my photos played to me in dolby 3.1.

Theres something familiar about the shape, I guess its quite distinctive and there used to be so many of these things knocking about that I reckon most people will recognise what it is, just as quickly as they remember the bin men and other council workers who used to buy them and how those characters have all died out nowadays. I was trying to explain to Ms_Bol about the history of this car, why its so shit and who bought them and why but amazingly she wasn’t interested and just looked at me like i needed sympathy.

That looks super! Id imagine it must have the old pushrod lump under the bonnet with a cat and carb?

I love how it's red lined at 7000rpm, can you imagine the cataclysmic racket it'll make at that rate of knots?:lol:

I drove an old UK spec one of those years back when my Uncle swapped a very rusty Mk1 Cav for a new one. It was pretty terrible but it got me home.

I'm left wondering where shitism can go from here. When the first four-minute mile was run, or when man walked on the moon, or when the Sinclair C5 was launched, people must have wondered whether the further advancement of human endeavour was even possible. That's how I feel right now.

[wipes tear from eye]

‘Dr Mike Oxgreen’ LOL!

You can tell just by looking at this engine, that it is shite.

Not Stomils seemingly, though they look much like one. I guess if I go for a drive and discover they are egg.-shaped i'll know they are a good copy.

Pussy magnet, That's the house values down your street another £10k worse off then.

That is fecking awesome work, there can't be many less desireable cars than a Polish registered LHD early 90s Polonez.

That brings a tear to the eye.

I'm afraid that had I some money I would be beating a path to your door right this very moment, before crashing through your front room demanding you sell me that fantastically dreadful piece of automotive wet dream.

In fact, the only way I could think of it being shiter would be if it had a K-series up front.

Christ on a bike, Testes - that's an outrage! Good work!

Excellent purchase, Mr B :) I'm on my second one of these (both the same colour as yours), and I can confirm they are as shit as they look!!! The drive is somewhere between Lada Riva and FE Victor, ie crap :D

I remember driving these new. Vague steering, hopeless gearchange and a comical amount of squeaks and rattles were all fitted as standard.

I can only imagine how the best part of twenty years have improved* it.

I remember PDI'ing these new. Vague steering(tick) hopeless gearchange (tick) and a comical amount of squeaks and rattles (tick) were all fitted as standard.

I can only imagine how the best part of twenty years have not really made the slightest bit of difference...

Wow man, that is utterly miserable. Brilliant purchase, it looks really clean cpmpored to other FSO Caros I've seen. If you do sell, let us know, this has got to better than the rubbish Honda Civic my Polish Supervisor is tooling around in, its literally falling to pieces, then engine doesnt even stop when you take the key out

Just chucked a jump lead on this and it fired straight up like a champ, fuggin excellent. The engine is well healthy, its only got about 29,000 miles on so theres at least another 10k left in it easy  Took it for a blast round the block and I can't fault it! I might bosh it in for a test next weekend and see where that leads.

That thing has lived in Poland all it's life, a country where it practically rains sulphuric acid blowing over from communist USSR industry, where it's cold and damp every day of the year. Have you seen what it's done to every other one of their motors that end up over here looking like they're turning into Branflakes (a well known kapitalist breakfast cereal)? Have you seen how it turns their old ladies into vile billious old witches who have to wear scarves over their hair? Have you seen how their old men are buckled and calloused from a hard life eating radiation poisoned cabanos? How is that car so minty looking and shiny? It's not actually possible :D

Nice purchase. I've always found Pollys and Caros to be strangely alluring. I have no idea why

Superb-ity.

Those decals on the rear quarters are a nice shite touch! I think they must all smell dodgy, my mates old one that he got for a tenner did! Re the red line, if you have the owners manual then you will see that this is described as 'dangerously high engine revolutions', which I can confirm is indeed correct.

Top marks for your missus not understanding your purchase also. I am becoming familiar with this concept too!

Surely we have a winner of Autoshite 2012 right here?

The LHD just adds the cherry to the icing of this shitty cake.

If only it had been beige - you would have had maximum shite points.

Well done Bol.

The only way to make it even more shite is some cheapo seat covers, steering wheel cover, and some of that stick on fake chrome trim.

Probably running before you walking, but do you reckon it'd be ready in time for Chumley Part 2?
