Nav screen has over exposed, it isn't that bright!

Moar gauges the bettaz. Lancia Betamax has at least one for every occasion.

What about colour-preferences? About the only time in my life I'll vote green. Love that Jensen though - like parchment.

The stupidly bright satnav screen seems to have cocked up the rest of the brightness. White and red across the dash in 2009 Focus, better than the green they've been using since the 80s. I notice new ones have gone much more white.

Jump back half a decade and GM were turning out things with altogether more words on the dash, 02 Astro van. Gauges around the edge do say OIL VOLT FUEL TEMP but only the symbols light up at night:

Dash does a self-test before bringing the mileage up. GM have kept the digital gear-selection thing, both these vehicles are column change.

Those 06 civics have one of the most annoying dashboards ever at night. Just too much going on.

The Betamax maxed out gauges helped me diagnose a problem yesterday, as even a clueless dingbat like me could say "Wot?  No volts AND overheating - derr, must be me belt".    OK, I could see the brokken belt when I lifted the bonnet, but at least the dials gave me a clue where to look.

1976 Series 3 Landy.

Temp a bit over half way cos I had parked up with the engine chugging while I fecked about with my phone (to rubbish effect, as you can see) and ate chips.    Runs in the middle usually, except when stuck in mud due to operator fuckwittery (see other thread).

Mustard mitt, I was rather expecting the Eclat dash to look more like this at night:

Nice, but nothing unusual there...

But what happens when you switch to high beam ?

That has a pleasing number of dials. I wonder why they think a Frontera driver needs to know stuff that Astra drivers don't.

Looks like a Carlton MkII instrument pack to me.

Perceived colour spectrum at night? I have a blue \ yellow deficiency so can't read the dashboard of a MkIV Golf at night.

With all electrics on, the modern stereo has come out a bit bright though.
