Anyone got an All aggro for sale for my mechanic who restores old chod, mainly Mini's, but he does BL, frog and Volvo, anything simple and shite it seems to me!

he doesn't care if it is fooked, as he wants it for a gearbox swap from an auto VDP (my old one) to convert to manual, and he wants all the bits that go with it, is happy to rebuild engines and boxes, just needs all the bits he says. Any other parts are a bonus.

So, cheaper the better, near Yorkshire would be good, what do you have good people of shiteland? :-D

If anyone has an HBOL for a B5 A4, the old man is looking for one.

What shape is that? The about 1998 sort of shape? I've got one at work

Ceri - no help on the belt, but if the seat belt doesn't work that is a fail.

The belt works but the buckle is cracked and in theory the belt could slip out and/or disintegrate under load.

Put a baby seat in it , it wont be tested

Have considered this as my youngest has only just been promoted to a booster seat, I could put the full baby seat back in, but not really a conscientious solution, especially as I do often have the kids in the back.

Cheers Matty Numbers, I have this watched already, think I'll go hit bin right now.

Has anyone got the 1st edition of modern classics magazine.

Pm me please if anyone has.

Long shot here, but don't suppose anyone has a rear louvre for a Capri? Needs to be the low type to fit a rear screen without the windscreen wiper.

Do cci still make the fibreglass copies?

Edit I've just looked and it appears they only do the tall one to give clearance for the rear wiper

yup, they are the most desirable by a mile so understandable that's the one they do. As is typical of so many things, I want the one no one else does and still can't find one!

I prefer the non rear wiper one, the angle of the louvres look much better making the car look smoother

I'm looking for a stromberg cd150 air filter. Triumph herald etc...

Some on ebay but a cheap used one would be good.

I wonder if 6_Cyl may be able to help with Truimph bits.

Being a twat , i thought it would look much better with a spoiler .. so  i drilled 5 holes in the tailgate and ruined its originality  :-( more or less "1 elderly owner" , although she wouldnt have been so elderly when she bought it new !

Wow adjustable seats! If only mine was in such good condition. Has your bonnet been painted or the wings they look different colours?

Edit: ooh a reverse light!!

Posted

Yes ,the bonnet i bought a new pattern part ,as the other had an annoying ripple in it and painted it same colour as the wings .It does irritate me a lot being  slightly off . I do like perfect..

The old dear did have the body restored here and there years ago. It has £8.5k of service history... I think i'm gonna sell it, i haven't used it ,I only bought it as prices were going up , I loathe Fords..but i learned to drive in one . It was £650 in 2010..

Shown you mine now show me yours !

Posted

£650! Probably 5 times that now. If you hate it the sell it. Shame some dick will more than likely do worse to it than that spoiler.

Mine was only about £150 but that was in about 2001 shame it's sat in the garage.

If you want a different shade of Ford badge, wet and dry the blue off the back of one until it's clear like khazi window and spray with rattle can colour of choice. Years ago I did Jamacian stylee rasta colours on a fezzy van badge belonging to a dreadlocked acquaintance, looked well reem.
