eddyramrod Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Fotki was being a pain and refusing to upload any of my pics, so I've opened a new account at Photobucket. Let's celebrate!*You might have to right-click on many of these to "View Image" as they seem to be bigger than AS's page, sorry. One for Evil Warren, to start with:200D manual, LHD and somewhat battered. Just how miserable does life have to be?More German misery, I've been after this Passat for weeks. What's the penalty for sneaking grab-shots of a couple of Minors? MR2... ...and while we're still feeling the Nip: Truck shite:A bit of a Roadrunner and almost all of a Trader, two of my favourites. Now we're getting to the exciting stuff! Let's start with a low-mileage 240 that I just had to get from both ends...405 seen yesterday, across from the General Hospital:Somebody's house by the beach...Thunderbird has been advertised for about 5 years in all the mags, still nobody's buying...Vitesse just sits in this showroom...Along with a Mini, a Minor and... Let's see that again...Yes, a brand new, unused, unregistered FSO Caro pickup! I've put my name on it. Obviously! And finally for this update, look what I found at a local supermarket!I parked in a disabled bay out front, and when we returned to my car, I spotted the red tail sticking out. No, can't be... looks like it might be... beside me? Yup! A shot I've been after for nearly two years, and had almost given up on. Never give up.
trigger Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Love that last Granny photo and how tidy is that blue Volvo!, Is that Thunderbird still on UK plates?
rml2345 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Cracking spottage! Volvo for me obv... What's with the massive roof pod and rear extension on that 405? Was it an ambulance or something?
Ross_K Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Don't think I've ever seen a rust-free Mister2 before. The 405 ambulance is cool too
Shep Shepherd Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 That 240 is astounding. Looks like it was supplied under Volvo's tourist/diplomat sales scheme (just like TV2 was), going by the sticker in the quarter window
eddyramrod Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 rml: yes, that's my guess too.Shep: yes, that's my guess too. I knew the 405 would go down well, we do love something French and a bit odd here, don't we!
Jack_Harpers_Teeth Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Have changed this one for you... Truck shite:
Shep Shepherd Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 ^^That cab has Bristol and Newport telephone numbers on its door
eddyramrod Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 Ta Jack. Shep, you do see a lot of vans and trucks here imported from Blighty, and it's often possible to read the previous owner's name and number/s. I see many even wearing their UK plates, on sales lots. I often wonder how many have been paid for...
warren t claim Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Even Evil Warren couldn't put that much of a dent into a W124 wing with someones head.
mk2_craig Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Have changed this one for you... Truck shite: 'TOP SHITE' shurely. Nice spots. I saw a stack of old chod all around the greater Paphos area two years ago, half of which I managed not to capture on camera due to having used up all brownie points from the future Mrs_Craig on a D-Series water bowser.
eddyramrod Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 Let's have some more, shall we? Saw this Astra at the General Hospital...Later I found this in a side street:And finally, today's spot from the same place I saw the 405 ambulance; right opposite the hospital! And as with the last Volvo, I had to get the other end too...It's LHD and manual.
