Thanks for saving me a journey.

What? Was I actually right about that?

How about Pumas, Probes and Cougars, or am I being an idiot?

Cougar; OK, a bit Mondeoey for some, but surely a low-mileage V6 manual would be worth a shot if such a thing still exists...

Probe; Yeah, Gareth Cheeseman, crappy American interior, but they were quite pretty, had pop-up-headlamps and, well, I've not seen one in a while.

Puma; Small, rusty but possibly the best driving fwd Ford ever? In coming years a non-thrashed, non-disintegrated one (again, if such a thing exists) may well be worth actual money.

I had a girlfriend with a 1.7 Puma as a company car as it wasn't exactly trouble free, I'll admit they're nice to drive though.

I wanted a Probe for about half an hour back in 1999. The urge to buy one has never come back.

William Hague owned a Cougar.

Oops. Cougar desire now purged. Thankyou.

Wozzer, trust me you need to drive that Calibra if it's an Ecowreck. They're SRSLY quick and don't deserve their reputation for HGF, I always maintain the problem the Ecotechs had was that the 8V engines were an extrmely hard act to follow.

Anyhow buy it and swap it for my Honda, job done.

Potentially cheap but potential for gearbox self grenading I'm told, also a minus is it's a private listing so his mates from Eric's and The Mersey Clipper will be schilling it up.

Bloody nice to drive and not too silly on fuel.

Make yourself a few quid if the price stays low by investing in some k-seal and taking a trip to Pingu's

Kia VAGMENTALLIST? I imagine it'd be easier to get rid of 300 pork sausage rolls at a Jewish wedding.

Some great suggestions there, you have loads to choose from now. The Ecotec is no bother, I have the same engine in one of my cars and its spot on. Just watch for oil leaks. BTW its right on the cusp of Redtopdom so is maybe ask? My mates dad had a turbo one with the C20LET and it was on an N. You could always sell the engine on to a Corsa owner after!

Buy this and WIN.

OMG NO PLAIT WURF 3 HNDRD ON IT OWN M8.

That does look nice Mr Claim, for some reason old Accords seem to be worth the square root of eff all second hand. Can't see why as they look a decent, if a little bland, old bus.

Hope you get a result, that almost looks suspiciously cheap though.

Get underneath and have a poke round - these things rot around the front subframe mountings.

Does'nt look bad for the money, however honda petrol engines are'nt particularly frugal, and genuine parts prices are enough to bring on a seizure.

It's basically just a Rover 600, but a bit less shite, isn't it?

And

Switch.

Car in the pic isn't the car for sale. The car for sale is a hatch with a gearbox that will only work in tiptronic mode.

LYING TWAT!

I missed out on a tidy mk4 Escort Cabriolet by wasting my time going to see this!

I used to do the bodywork for a Honda dealer when these were all the rage, those 2.2i ES coupes are fab cars, really quiet and comfy to travel in with a high spec like leather and cruise control.
