There is some awesome stuff in there, loads of one offs and concept cars ... Shame I haven't got the money for any of them :(

From the photos, that 405 coup looks like its a two door on the side showing, and a 4dr on the other side (you can just make out the rear quater window on the back door.) A bit like the Hyundai Veloster.

They look so forward thinking, there is a SuperCinq Van, which looks like an early Berlingo, Sliding doors, 7 seats etc.

That V6 Safrane Wagon, is Epic. Megawant!

You could probably hear it rusting the second the wheels touched the sea when they took this shot.

That 3-door 405 will be an evaluation model, like the 309 break - one door on one side, 2 on the other.

They are stunning, though.

That 1501 is indeed 'special'. Nyummy with some odd angles/proportions.

BX estate is brilliant. Anyone else see a hint of Austin (wedge) Princess in the Simca rear end?

405 coupe is a 2 door - not two doors on the other side, just a different way of doing one door.

an example of Peugeot's hopeful and ultimately unsuccessful attempts to conquer the mythical American market

Very reassuring that Americans don't exist. It was all a bad dream.

There are some absolute crackers in there though:

Destined for a Saxo VTR bumper and alloys, carrying 6 kids in comfort and style.

Thanks for doing a thread on this Mr B, it's a fascinating collection, such a shame to break it up but it sounds like Heuliez has gone through some major upheavals and need some capital to start afresh. Words can't describe how much I want that 405, but the nearside is confusing. It looks like a four door on that side and through the windows, but the only other photo of the car on the net shows the same 2 door style.

Loving the leather trim aswell

Look at the windows next to the rear passenger. They're different - that's definitely the same car.

Either side of the car was asymmetrical, to show off two different versions, one of which would cost less.

Thanks for the picture of the other side. I wonder which one would have cost less?

I guess the left side, which appears to use standard glass and looks shite

Just a thaught, the nearside on the 405 has a small 1/4 window to enable the window to be fully wound down into the rear wing, wouldnt it look the tits if it was sans centre pillar?.

It's like my dreams are being revealed to the world in the form of a car auction. There's even a Wankel-engined Citroen M35!

I love seeing weird and wonderful prototypes and those are without exception ace. The Fuego cabrio and targa-topped SM are my faves though. If I won the Euromillions right now I would so buy the whole collection and put them in a museum for fellow shiters to drool over.

Hey! I remember doing some half-arsed research on the Renault Safrane 'Long Cours'. It looks like the type of car I've got some big wantage for.
