Building on this page showing these interesting Isuzu rims:

piazza_08.jpg

Does anybody know of any more especially intriguing alloy designs that have come about ever? I like BX 16v and Renault 18:

Love the ones on the later CX.

Or the ones on the Lancia Montecarlo.

Assuming aftermarket ones are allowed then there can only ever be one winner:

Momo Arrows. For the ultimate look they need to be in 16 or 17 inch fitment and bolted to a black Mercedes 190 or old C180.

Those Ronal TeddyBears are proof that VW owners will buy any old shit.

The 16" Prestige alloys on Mk1 800s:

My car has a set but 15" but the 16" are very rare indeed.

I also like the Mk2 800 Prestige alloys:

You can keep yer flat-faced FWD negative-offset 16" jobbies, the king of wheels was designed for real cars, where one set of 13" wheels does one job:

Or most Cromodoras...But especially these ones:

I spent more on these wheels than my next 3 cars put together

They're actually of the Renault 25, but the Safrane can pull them off I reckon...

Mo,

I think there's a yard near me with an 800 packing those wheels. I will try and find out if they're 15" or 16" for you.

In other news, I like this thread. I can contribute something other than swearing, unhelpful platitudes and an irrational hatred of most products VAG.

Image017.jpg

Once again, Isuzu waffles. We never got these on our Piazzas.

DSC03447a.jpg

Here's what we got. FWIW, they look SHIT on Volkswagens.

205gti6010.jpg

Next, a Goodwood spec Speedline SL299, or a EYAH DEMS WON NYNE WEELS INIT.

ARE.jpg

Next, the rather lovely ARE Salt Flat Special. These are super expensive. You have to place a custom order with American Racing - the upside is that you can choose your PCD, offset and width. From three presets. I'm trying to buy a set I know of for my Amazon. Except without the centre caps. Too shiny.

atstype5csdfq.jpg

The ATS Type 5. Don't know much about these, other than they're probably available in 4 x 100 and I'd like a set for the 460.

atscups.jpg

Another entry from ATS, these being the Cups. I've nearly bought a set of these seven or eight times. One day I will cave and a set of these lovelies will sit in my unit for time immemorial, gathering dust. Still better than being bolted to a pan scraping Volkswagen.

shelby_10spoke_wheel.jpg

Finally, the Shelby ten spoke. I have a set of these for my Amazon. Eerm, as show wheels. Or something. Look, they were £200, what do you want?

DSC_0070AS.jpg

Also, the countless Minilite variations of wheel available. Especially Watanabes. But not these above, they're Black Racing 01s. They're part of 5Zigen, or something.

I rather like the AMG Monoblock design, as Ford borrowed for the Scorpio.

monoblock2.jpg

One of these days I'm going to sell my 17s to some VAG scene cretin for revolting amounts of folding, and with the profits I shall pay off the mortgage, fit a conservatory, and possibly buy some wheels.

Not strictly wheels, but I've always had a soft spot for the wheeltrims fitted to early Sierra Ls and GLs:

Basically, I like wide wheels with polished rims. None of this flat shit that most FWD stuff comes with. XJR rims are an exception, because mine's got 'em.

These came with the MR2. Jap Import and the wheels are specific fit for the car but I'm buggered if I can remember the name of them without looking at the label stuck inside the wheel !

**EDIT** I had to look as it was annoying me not remembering ! They are Autostrada Modenas in 16" flavour.

There was a wheel (if it wasn't these actual type) that used to be fitted to some XJ6 and XJS Jags and they're SRSLY fit.

Simple brilliance - and they look equally class on both models...
