It is, I didn’t know they were prone to pillar failure until you shared yours on here a day or two ago. Spotlights and pillars still holding out well on this one.

I'd really like that one if you're not keeping it....

That will make it six at Bungle Towers and the market has been cornered ?

At least - I make it about 8 or 9 but as you've seen, many have defects. I'll customise mine as I get better replacements.

Maybe - but the pillars always crack at the bottom not the top - two of those are broken at the sills too

It's tat Wednesday here too but looking like they're all keepers - went on a fairly fruitless mission around Basildon and Pitsea, QD didn't have the masking tape I like and The Range didn't appear to have any clearance spray paints. I also found three shops selling HW 10 packs as there's a Beetle I want in an exclusive colour - nothing. I did find these two in a charity shop and they took the 37p I had in change rather than breaking into a note - Zylmex Porsche and Matchbox Stocker

However postie man has left me presents. I bid on a few lots, more than I'm normally comfortable paying but one especially is pretty hard to track down.

Majorette Ambulance is missing flags and may become a hearse - the Studebaker I started drove me to distraction with broken pillars

Dinky Jag may well end up painted to match my friend's ex-new police car. It's quite the barn find but that's another story

Early Matchbox camper was the only version I didn't have in good shape - missing a door but you can buy those

Yet another Dinky - Range Rover is really nicely done with opening doors, bonnet and split tailgate

This is the one that I'm most pleased about though - Dinky VW 1500 Notchback. These rarely seem to come up for sale, and get expensive fast.

I could be persuaded to part with that one - it's a nice model but I'm not that much of a fan of the real thing.

I quite liked the some of them, but not enough to part me of £3.97!

That reminds me I'll have to post up pics of my Super truck city.

Right then, Tat Wednesday part one. Still at work so it's going to be a backdrop of dusty Volvo and Chelmsford industrial estate. Still, it makes everyone else's pictures look better.

Green Mercury as requested by flat4alfa a couple of weeks ago, today's the first time I've seen this seller since and I was worried it might have gone. Surprisingly not, given that it's a very tidy example indeed. Some very small chips but almost mint.

That seller was operating a three for a tenner policy, at first that struck me as a little pricy. However on closer inspection it wasn't hard to make up the numbers. Got to admit I didn't know a lot about these until the last day or two, but it's a charming little thing and intact so far as I can tell. It does bounce nicely too..

I've never noticed this before but the bucket and arm have been borrowed from the 1/43-ish scale FC Jeep, of close to 20 years before!

I just wanted to say nothing was delivered today. No charity shop was visited.  No supermarket toy aisle was visited either.

Perhaps, I’m cured.

This made up the tenner, again one or two minor chips otherwise it's a really nice example of an excellent casting. Up for grabs if anyone fancies it.

Now I'm home so we can have a look at the rest while dinner is cooking.. I was trying to exercise some restraint today, believe it or not. And like last week time was pressing, hence no live report from the field. But once the above were secured a few other things came into my "too nice to leave behind for the price" category. Firstly this, I've seen it before but didn't appreciate how clean it is until today. Must surely have been boxed until recently to have survived this well. Two quid seemed reasonable, happy to put it aside if someone fancies it.

Whizzwheels Escort is pretty fucked admittedly but the pillars are intact. A pity the same can't be said for the Rockets Merc. On the other hand at fifty pence how fussy can you be?

Very little of note this week for 1:36 Corgi fans, I hardly saw any. I had this silver Mini as a child so might well keep it, the yellow one is available. Not a colour I'd seen before, pity the stripes are a bit worn. Two quid apiece wasn't unreasonable.

There's a certain charm to this, the wheels are acceptable slotmag renditions and the panel gaps are satisfyingly haphazard. A pity the aerial is awol, but you can't have everything. Did this come as part of a set? The towbar made me wonder, I did have a rummage through the box but no trailer or anything like that in there.
