Keeping the 1100?

I could be persuaded to part with that one - it's a nice model but I'm not that much of a fan of the real thing.

Cheers yes - just found the pic of my other one. It was in a job lot anyway so luck was on my side

Micro Machines are back!

As found in Asda today.

I quite liked the some of them, but not enough to part me of £3.97!

That reminds me I'll have to post up pics of my Super truck city.

Wow!  Sold!

Erm... that wasn’t what you asked was it

Good grief those 'Micro Machines' are awful. The originals had character or 'caricature'.

Right then, Tat Wednesday part one. Still at work so it's going to be a backdrop of dusty Volvo and Chelmsford industrial estate. Still, it makes everyone else's pictures look better.

Green Mercury as requested by flat4alfa a couple of weeks ago, today's the first time I've seen this seller since and I was worried it might have gone. Surprisingly not, given that it's a very tidy example indeed. Some very small chips but almost mint.

That seller was operating a three for a tenner policy, at first that struck me as a little pricy. However on closer inspection it wasn't hard to make up the numbers. Got to admit I didn't know a lot about these until the last day or two, but it's a charming little thing and intact so far as I can tell. It does bounce nicely too..

It's one of my favourite Matchbox models, equalled only by the MK4 Cortina with its excellent badges.

This made up the tenner, again one or two minor chips otherwise it's a really nice example of an excellent casting. Up for grabs if anyone fancies it.

I've never noticed this before but the bucket and arm have been borrowed from the 1/43-ish scale FC Jeep, of close to 20 years before!

I just wanted to say nothing was delivered today. No charity shop was visited.  No supermarket toy aisle was visited either.

Perhaps, I’m cured.

Now I'm home so we can have a look at the rest while dinner is cooking.. I was trying to exercise some restraint today, believe it or not. And like last week time was pressing, hence no live report from the field. But once the above were secured a few other things came into my "too nice to leave behind for the price" category. Firstly this, I've seen it before but didn't appreciate how clean it is until today. Must surely have been boxed until recently to have survived this well. Two quid seemed reasonable, happy to put it aside if someone fancies it.

Whizzwheels Escort is pretty fucked admittedly but the pillars are intact. A pity the same can't be said for the Rockets Merc. On the other hand at fifty pence how fussy can you be?

Very little of note this week for 1:36 Corgi fans, I hardly saw any. I had this silver Mini as a child so might well keep it, the yellow one is available. Not a colour I'd seen before, pity the stripes are a bit worn. Two quid apiece wasn't unreasonable.

There's a certain charm to this, the wheels are acceptable slotmag renditions and the panel gaps are satisfyingly haphazard. A pity the aerial is awol, but you can't have everything. Did this come as part of a set? The towbar made me wonder, I did have a rummage through the box but no trailer or anything like that in there.

I have the police version of that somewhere, will dig it out for a pic when I'm back in Essex...

This week's "not seen one of those before" is this, a Bertone Shake Buggy according to its base. Annoyingly close to intact to my untrained eye, one front indicator has given up but all in it's done well to survive. Three quid rescued it from an otherwise uninteresting tat box.

Oddly it looks more to scale on the FC Jeep than the pick up!

^ same fella also does these for Corgi, Dinky and Spot-on.

plus there is a supersized one for Matchbox.

nice if you have the room to show them off!

Afraid tat Wednesday will have to stretch into Thursday, there's more but I'm in need of sleep. Stay tuned.
