Think I can go for that. It’ll probably resemble an Aubergine by the time I’ve modified it but sounds like a project for the winter evenings.

Bought the job lot mainly for this, from the 70’s construction set a Police Patrol. Seen these in the various catalogues but not in the flesh, came with a few ‘Days Gone’ which I’ll not insult you by offering on here.

Which just jogged my memory - alongside the Murena, is this Hot Wheels take on the BMW 635i any good to you?

Trying to sort out my overflowing tub of surplus 50p models, which may* be offered out here shortly...

Yeah I like a Bimmer, please add that to my stash. Got a Golf from the same era, wheels are attached by plastic pegs that snap off - easy enough to repair with a small nail though!

Good stuff - I've updated my Tat list accordingly, so will alert you if anything there crops up... now there doesn't seem to be much in the way of Norev in Belfast, but the Corgi and Matchbox items may well show up - eventually! But then you never know, unusual stuff does show up sometimes...

Will do! Other than the paint, this one's not in bad overall nick. I think my white Golf Cabrio from this range managed to shear off a wheel peg, much to my irritation... that's good to know a fix is possible.

Right then... I promised myself quite some time ago that I wouldn't allow my Market Tat acquisitions to get out of hand in the same manner my original diecast collection got out of hand - largely through hoovering up any old thing that took my fancy.

Now, I thought I'd been on top of things, and exercising a modicum of restraint on Fridays, but the box I was using to temporarily house my finds has been bursting at the seams for some time now... and when I caught myself decanting them into a bigger box a few weekends ago, I started to wonder what the hell I was doing.

So!

A clearout is plainly needed - and once I'd picked out all those I might actually want to keep, there's still over a hundred surplus models left (the vast bulk of them from the 50p tat box).

There's nothing new here, as such - all of these have previously been offered out for sale either on the Friday they were picked up, or at previous tat-clearance events (like the October Mini-Market event). So it's very much the dregs, kids.

As a special deal to all those on the beige pages, these waifs and strays are going at the frankly bargainous rate of three for a quid (plus postage).

In fact, if you can find twenty items of tiny tat that appeal to you, I'll do them all for a fiver. Half-price madness, OMFG, etc etc…

That's why I don't do this for a living.

Usual tat box terms and conditions apply, in that I'm happy to set them aside for you and combine with existing boxes etc.

If there's anything you want, hit me up with the name of the Board and the item number, if you can't be arsed typing out all the names and stuff.

Ready?

Let's start with Board 1, 1970s Matchbox:

Been trying to locate one of these Zylmex "Baja Bug"s for a while (guess the Chinese didn't know that term refers to an off-road Beetle), usual the windscreen and/or headlights are broken off, so when a boxed one appeared, I bought it. Despite being packaged, the steering wheel was rattling around inside the blister, had to do a bit of juggling to position it for the pics!

Found another with the blank base here  https://picclick.co.uk/Husky-Corgi-Juniors-VW-Volkswagen-1300-164040891529.html

Seems like it's a Corgi version of the Husky casting, with the Husky branding removed by the manufacturers

@bunglebus didn't some early Corgi Juniors use the Husky base with the name removed,& Corgi Juniors stuck on a sticker?

The Golf is made by Kees from Hong Kong & goes with the similar Mk 3 Escort I already have.

The Alfa GTV is by Guisval.

In the odd idle moment I've been getting my display cabinets back together after buying the additional glass shelves:

IMG_0877.thumb.JPG.773c8082077f177b0ba843494c35f936.JPG

Left-hand cabinet got one extra shelf, right-hand family heirloom will get two but aren't yet fitted (sadly I had to get them without curved fronts, it was expensive enough as it was).

Trouble is, I managed to acquire quite a few more Corgi 1:36 and other stuff this month and found I had some more in the shed which deserved to be out on display, so I've more than wiped-out the space I'd gained......

The MIB Superfast will take up three shelves once they're unboxed and set-up as a single layer, so some drastic editing is going to be required with the rest of them. I fear a lot will just remain in boxes (with the option of another display cabinet out in the shed), and I'm putting some to one side for sale later this year. Probably going to have a stall (Tent Of Tat) at Trigger's Shitefest in May.

As an aside, how does anyone else display blister pack HW and Matchbox?
