I do like the Mercedes, think I'll take the numbers off if I can. There also was a Banana car and a Vw Trekker/Thing too but I passed on those.

Morrison's had some Majorettes yesterday,a different mix of cars to the one they've had for the last 2 years or so.Mostly supercars,but there was a white Renault Twingo & a green Vauxhall/Opal Adam.

Strange! It shall be known as the great North South Matchbox divide of 2019. 

I bought three of them, there was a few more in the massive storage box thing in Tescos. Although the next day most of the 'good ones' had gone. 

I may be able to un-give one of the two wagons if you're desperate.

Got this Alfa 155 through the post this morning.It's made by ARS,& everything opens except the back doors.Really chuffed with this as I've got over 20 155 models,& all except 2 are race cars.

So accurate as well. White with a black roof was the de facto colour of the Capris I remember.

Sainsbury have a half price toy sale starting today. I'm off there now to see if the promised delivery of Hot Wheels has landed.

My local Tesco also came up with the goods.

Love the Alfa, really nicely detailed, with quad exhausts and the badging is really nicely done. The fintail is a good casting, nice packaging as well. The Caprice is a nice old land-yacht from my favourite era of Yank-mobile. Would have preferred it in brown though! Loads of Trekkers as well, I'll probably go back for one of those...

Haven't they just. I was slightly taken aback very early this morning upon innocently popping into the Shrewsbury branch to buy some lunch. There were hordes of people in already buying trolley loads of stuff, mostly toys.

Work got rained off, so instead of being sensible and working on the house, I've been in the shed doing more reverse rake window stuff.

The subjects today are the FSO 223 concept car:

And the Mercury Marauder Breezeway:

I started with some cheapo Chinese models, a regular FSO 223 and a Marauder coupe. 

Then stripped them and  fashioned an approximate shape using plastic card.

Then used regular car filler to get the right* shape.

Slapped a bit of paint on and wound up with these:

 

 

Close enough for me

Running out of ideas now...
