Agreed, this is quite something too! Luckily, no evidence of posting to the UK ;-)

They were available in the U.K. last year... I had them in stock. Unsurprisingly they sold out pretty quickly!

Aargh. Perhaps I should pull the trigger on an MG3 to go with my MG6. I guess I can't have just one 1:16 in my collection...

the mg3 looks too small to be 1:16 looks more like 1:18

Okay, this is pretty hardcore.

Decades ago this was shown in a French model car magazine:

monica10.jpg

They are test shots of a Monica to be released by Norev.

Nothing ever came of it and those test shots were presumed destroyed.

Now what is believed to be the mock up to the right in above photo has resurfaced.

It's going to be offered at a toy auction in Bourges and estimated to hit four figures.

Another one of the rare moments in life I wish I was a tad weller off.

Didn't think to look for Norev over in NZ and despite there being quite a bit of new stuff (at rather eye-watering prices), there is currently one 1/43 placca one - this:

I've no idea what the value is of these or whether this one is rare or not (there are wobbly shut lines but I guess that's a Panhard thing, rather than warpage?) but assuming no other bids, this could be posted to me for a shade over £17. Is this pricey for a Norev? Not personally interested but happy to help out any potential Norev fanciers, if it's of any interest.

I'd pay that any day of the week.

Could we make a deal?

Nice detail there. Does the fuel flap open?

not that i noticed but to be fair this model is ALL metal unlike some of the "dealer" models i have seen on fleabay that hve plastic rear doors etc

some may ask why the slightly ordinary blue one not the shouty yeller?

my theory is picking the boring version means i will have one different to most who would prolly opt for yellow

same with the mg6 everyone thinks the grey is boring next to the orange one- but i like the grey and maybe fewer people will take that option

Sure, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do!

It will be better built than the real car LOL. Bit of a diecast drought here due to skintness.

Purchased today Matchbox Transcontinental for a quid. It was in a box with several identical ones, all missing the centre caps. I did wonder why this was, perhaps they were factory seconds and they knew someone at the factory?

Found this rather nice Siku Mercedes van with cherry picker over the weekend.

It was rather expensive at €10.00 but I had to have it.post-5543-0-56823100-1525771892_thumb.jpg

That's fantastic. Siku stuff does seem to fetch some good money, price will probably go up soon on those.

Has anyone noticed the lack of Matchbox in poundland lately?

Our own 320 has the very same in his soon to be sold collection that we priced up last week. I had a good old study of it and what a fine little thing it is!
