I love these old Majorette cars with the skinny tyres. I have this one too, ace little thing.

Funnily enough I was clearing out some stuff my dad gave me a while back and found some Holts Amber Lamp paint as used in France to give the sort of Tungsten effect on lightbulbs

Picked up this little french fancy too.

8)

Had this in the late 1970's - made a table out of card and put it in the boot.

I've got a couple of those little Simcas, both repainted many moons ago.  I never cared much for the real car, but the model is rather good.  Majorettes really were nice little things.

Police version that I managed to pick up a couple of years ago:

Edit: I prefer the style of wheel on mine to the 3-spokes Majorette also offered. Is there any rhyme or reason as to which style they used and when?

Mid to late 1980s the pepper pots came in.

Not so much those ones, I meant the 'Tudor rose' style on the black Simca vs. the 3-spoke jobs on the blue SImca Junkyarddog has just got.

I have a Fiat 127 with the Rose style wheels, can't see any difference in timing between those and the 3 spokes. They also introduced a larger wheel in the mid 1980s, I had a MK2 Golf with them fitted and I currently have a couple of Morgans as well.

The Chrysler Simca 1308GT is my favourite Majorette of all time.

Cast badges in the correct font front and rear. Yellow headlight lenses. Stuff in the boot. 3 spokes, love it!

I know where Ford pinched the idea for the three spoke alloys.

30p purchase today... with some spares from model supplies could be restorable?

Not cheap, those parts!    Its a nice casting, though.  I still have my original which needs restoring and probably I will just do the unit - they look great on their own.

Majorettes of that era always seemed to have boots full of stuff if they had opening tailgates. Always loved them as a kid, were cheaper than Matchbox, but that packaging, lethal

That Hilux and trailer are an absolute honey, ooft

Had the trailer but never the hilux, was it available with other stuff?

The Hilux comes in loads of different versions, there's a lifted one with bigger wheels & a Monster Truck too.

I've got that Hilux/Generator combo in orange and also have another Hilux with big chunky tyres.

I think the generator came with a Land Rover relatively recently, my son had it as a set (possibly bought in France one summer, like some of the Majorettes I had as a youngster).

A fair intake today, two of my favourites:

The Atlas 1/43 C70 is lovely.

I thought this Lupo was quite smart. It has an SDI badge on the back too
