That's a bit mad, I can understand the casting changes to encompass the cap firing mechanism but that has extended arches too. Love it

Yet another version of the Ford truck?!

These are my two:

IMG_4098.thumb.JPG.c068aa7a3d2901263e2a675704cfbb42.JPG

Both missing stuff off the back. Odd to see the "Open Back Truck" Ford Courier (Mazda B-Series) without its camper body. Perhaps a scrap version of the latter could be used to create an overland camper? And might the dogs or lion from earlier versions of the F100 like to go on an Aspen ski holiday?

Until a few years ago, Matchbox made fun stuff like the Mudstang

Think the Bronco II was only ever made with the big wheels

Same with the Blazer

Again the cap car has a modified casting!

I still find it very odd that the 70s hot rod version is actually the original, and all the military versions and later 4X4 evolved from it

Disappointing visit to Morrisons on the way home. Matchbox 5 packs now in at a tenner but nothing I wanted, (especially at that price). Fresh stocks of Hot wheels but back to bloody older case stuff.

However, got home to find a  @Macscrooge box waiting for me.

A nice, well packaged box, with some interesting decoration,

IMG_20230301_214316.thumb.jpg.0ae0c4848387278a81ca7997b186466e.jpg

Quite appropriate, given the Teutonic delights within!

Since I got back into Hot Wheels, I've had one of these DTM inspired C Classes on my radar for some time, especially in this plain yellow livery.

Another one I've been after for a while, this generation of Majorette passed me by at the time.

Same goes for the E36 Beemer. I don't suppose this generation of Majorette are the last word in accuracy but they are still chock-full of charm. Here we have the Beemer in civilian trim,

A nice little bonus was this 1992- vintage Matchbox 8-series, actually a nice casting, one I've never really come across.

Thanks to Macscrooge for a great service, the cars are all in belting condition, and thanks for the bonus gifts too.

Another diecast package came today but I have to wait till my birthday on the 11th till I can have that.

Boo!

Someone on FB found these in BuM today!

If anyone else finds them I'd be very interested, especially in the Flying Customs

Looks like I need to get into B&M and come out with at least one of those green Rancheros!

I took a Volvo Drift Wagon apart as soon as I could get my hands on one - and it's sat there stripped for months while I've been busy, also wasn't quite sure where I was going with it. Completed this in a day in the end, paint is a signal yellow/Rover Inca top to bottom fade that probably doesn't show up,  wheels were 3D printed and remind me of the T5R ones - hence going for yellow. I'd drive the wheels off this if it was real!

Postie man is happy is ever, and brought me some goodies.

First, and definitely best is this Majorette Chrysler 180. I don't think the doors have ever been opened, and they're extremely reluctant to do so now

I've always thought that the MC Toys 2CV was a copy of the Corgi casting - as I had both floating about, I thought I'd do a Who Did It Worse?

Although they're similar, and obviously both yellow 2CVs, it's clear they're not the same. Corgi has the oblong headlights while MC went for round. The bumpers are part of the body on Corgi but on the base for MC. There are also subtle differences in how the rear lights, number plate and boot swage lines are reproduced.

I'd say the Corgi is the better one as the casting is crisper, although from a customising viewpoint having the bumpers separate makes detailing easier

Great little casting the Corgi 2CV. I still have mine from very early childhood with the 'ugly duckling' bonnet tampo.

Did BT actually operate these in this livery?

I thought they can't have done and it was kicking me in the OCD region!

So.  The Commer Walk-Thru was produced  1961 to 1976

15312603048_43f3f87820_c.jpg.46cb1b3af53f50488398079b1880a20e.jpg

From then it was revised with Dodge badging to 1980

s-l1600.thumb.jpg.adffb41ca8eec3c2eb1879fd800fff18.jpg

The British Telecom rebrand and logos did not exist until 1980.

But the EFSI casting clearly has COMMER badge on the rear.  But none on the front.

Which means....   to cure the OCD all it needs its Commer badge rubbing out and I will have to tell myself that BT bought at least one run-out model cheap.

Matchbox seriously depleted, with mostly only motorbike trailers remaining, along with a couple of Mazdas, a Honda E and a Skylark.

I think it's unlikely we'll be seeing more of interest in here.

Plenty of 5-packs, mind.

Seems to have a plastic tipper bed fitted these days, though.

Hot Wheels was a bit better served, with a new case opened:

10p dearer too.
