Hard to find these loose, let alone still in the original packaging

The Cherry Bomb in the pack is awesome, I'm lucky enough to have a Hot Wheels Angular still in the pack, and I think a loose one in the "needs customising" box. One of the castings that I can't fathom why Mattel didn't make more of. 3 versionsĀ  and a wheel variation on the grey one, that's it.

Accidentally stumbled on a model shop earlier, and resolutely wasn’t buying anything I didn’t need, despite there being lots I’d happily take home!

However I told myself this 1/43Ā (Corgi?) Brava AA van wouldn’t break the bank at Ā£3.99 and I felt I hoped I helpĀ payĀ for the lights to be on in the shop today šŸ˜‰

Anyone got any info on it? It’s rather nicely cast, needs a few details picking out with black and it will be perfect.

Just won this on ebay for £2.50.

I tried to pay but the I get a message saying the seller doesn't send to my location.

They're in Rotherham,Ā  I'm near Falkirk.

WHUT??!?!

Local Morrisons have had a restock,

Just grabbed the ones I've been most after, as I was meant to be just nipping in for a few bits...

IMG_20220906_120231.thumb.jpg.53002fc5ff75c42932f93d174942e2ed.jpg

I was almost child-like with joy at finding this. I love it.

IMG_20220906_120420.thumb.jpg.452e42b73b6da4d530aea2d10e1269c0.jpg

Never noticed before that it has two different types of wheel. Drift spec Yo...

Yes, it would have been nice to have a 240 wagon in standard trim, but there are enough Corgi Junior versions still kicking around for that. This is a nice bit of fun, could have done without the chrome interior though, (it infuriates me when HW do that. What real car has a chrome interior?) But I love the detail on the rear, and as had been mentioned previously, it's weird that it's RHD and has a UK style plate. Reminds me a bit of Bryn Musselwhite's Turbo brick from Retro Cars mag back in the day.

Another nod to British owned Volvos has to be the "dags in the back". Brilliant 🤣

Speaking of Volvo estates, the 850 is looking nice in black.Ā

And speaking of fast, black '90s estate cars....

One of my favourite castings of recent years. My favourite version is the original RS blue release, but this version looks stunning in black, I think. Those wheels look like period Ronals too, on this one. Lovely.

IMG_20220906_121051.thumb.jpg.d8140b4149832b93ea45d34d04a5951d.jpg

I always like the detail Mattel put into the front and rear of this one too.

Couldnt leave without the Intergrowler either. Lovely colour scheme along with the beige (though not exactly rally spec) interior!

Will have to go back soon, as there was also the purple Fox body Mustang, the Corvette gasser and the new Lotus Elise casting in yellow. Can't remember seeing a Maxima though, as that is still at the top of the want list.

I had my eye on that. I'm sure it's just eBay being a dick, drop the seller a line

I have two. First mod will be painting that interior!

It does mean you get a chrome grille but yeah, chrome interiors are crap

I look forward to seeing it on here!šŸ˜‰

I'm picturing one in Jerry Leadbetter yellow (kids, ask your parents) with a brown interior, but still in drift spec...

There was a job lot on eBay with one of these that I nearly bought several times...not that it helps you!

Yeah I think its a mistake. The description says to contact them if you are bidding from overseas but not Scotland! I messaged them a few hours ago.

I'm having a day off tomorrow so will be checking out a few places in search of the 240 drift wagon. I'd also like to find the Nissan Maxima.

I think I might have sacrificed it in a swap for a minty US-spec Summer Rover SD1, which was otherwise going to be squashed by one of my brother's wee mates.

And I think the Rover lives with @155V6Ā these days?

That's a new one on me, might be one I have to keep an eye out for.

I love my Siku VW pick-up, too. Here it is with my NZ Siku collection:

Ā

And here it is traversing the Aussie outback, one of its natural environs:

An absolute highlight of heading over to the UK in a few days is seeing all my childhood Sikus again - don't think I've set eyes on them since the 90's!

Conveniently that misnomer Summer Cedric is exactly the same casting as my 'New [Toyota] Crown'. I think its great, its on my shelf next to my Tomica collection.

@junkyarddogĀ I had that Leyland Cement Mixer but it's the Dinky Version. The Joal one looks to be a direct copy? Can anyone confirm?

I have a Joal chassis-cab, ie the mixer with no drum.Ā  It's in pretty good shape actually.Ā  I keep wondering about making a box body for it, or some such; my chances of finding and fitting the correct drum will be slim, I think.Ā  But it's good enough that I don't want to cut the drum stanchions off.Ā  Consequently it's sat in my project box for at least three years now, probably longer, which is a shame as I think it's a good model.

No reply from the seller as they're probably not awake yet so I tried paying for the 128 3P again and it went through. Thankfully it was only £4.75 posted so not the end of the world if it goes AWOL.
