Same guy always has old phones. He had an all black one which I was quite taken with too, as well as the usual cream/beige jobbies

The orange ones were a different seller and for kids, I had a different set when I was a kid that worked the same way - unfortunately not having any siblings limited my chatting opportunities a bit!

I think it's a drifting "thing", but will definitely be getting wheels swapped when I get my hands on one!

Is it not because they're meant to look like Turbo Fans, in a Group A/DTM style?

Back from holibobs and a package was waiting :)

20220731_135706.thumb.jpg.1168abb374e211faaeae3aeb72daf617.jpg

I had the Pepsi truck as a child, and as all 3 were a 1.99 job lot on the bay, seemed rude not too !

20220731_140102.thumb.jpg.556efb451a5463beefb832dec634a034.jpg

Now I confess, I never liked this one as a child. Not sure what possessed me to buy it (maybe it was a gift). Even then I wanted models to resemble the real thing and this did not qualify. But as I'm trying to recreate what I had, it had to be done.

20220731_140335.thumb.jpg.e73c873980fc6be05420e2f6303c7dc0.jpg

Effing glorious. Truly brilliant. Loved it then, love it now.

Posh and the doors still work :)

20220731_140814.thumb.jpg.aea5361caed879c375d0364f24f643fc.jpg

The door works on this too :)

Just need a suitable tow vehicle.

All of the above were 1.99. All from same seller, so postage combined.

He also threw in these for 2 quid. For 5! Sadly the rolomatic function does not work, as all 5 have slightly knackered wheels. Was worth the risk. Hunt for a good one continues.

So if anyone wants 5 range rovers for resto/ spares / or you like slightly knackered matchbox, then yours for the price of postage.

As I don't want these, 5 models, 4 unopened, anyone else want them? Cost of postage only.

Had to nip into B&Q earlier today as I've been assigned some "house stuff" to do. Took the opportunity to also nip into the nearby B&M to see if there was anything new. Nothing I haven't already got, but I did grab this as it was on offer,

IMG_20220731_162919.thumb.jpg.e9daa31ba93dc95aaaf8eeeab95739b1.jpg

I'm not really into the Forza stuff as it's generally supercar stuff, which isn't really my bag. But as I seem to have fallen down the A Class rabbit hole against my will, and have collected all the variations so far, I had to grab this one.

IMG_20220731_163006.thumb.jpg.1cdb1f005d395622b3bb32a336256bfd.jpg

Nice detailing. As this one costs a bit more than a standard mainline, it gets tampo printing all over and front and rear.

IMG_20220731_163051.thumb.jpg.2f34b36a5f2c46553443cc3933a7f28f.jpg

Also got round to opening up the yellow MB Merc and swapping the loose green one into the card. Okay, no one would be fooled by it, but it looks neat enough to me and it means I have the green, yellow and blue ones on cards now. Still hunting for the Terracotta US version.

That Range Rover is the least functional of the Rolamatics, they never seem to work correctly.

The Clipper and Hot Rocker were the best.

Some awesome stuff there ^

The baja should be made in India, pretty hard to find. Chevette is one of the better blackwalls, quite a late release.

Well Jel of the Ruff Trek without bits missing!

I had a box land, mainly wanted this Mira Fiat

Ah - it is a Seat! I know the car as a Fiat so that's what I wrote

If it looks about 1/87 scale, it might be a Motormax Fresh Cherries example?

I had a Mercury Bobcat from the range; maybe the same casting as yours but different front end. No maker's mark at all on the base.

Decent haul though, well done!

Likewise, especially as I had the real Fiat (in 1986)!  I did know, though, that back in the 70s Seats were basically Fiats for the Spanish market; they didn't really get exported as Fiat already had the rest of Europe sewn up, so we tended not to see them here.  They even used the Italian model numbers (131, 127 etc).

I was thinking the same but I couldn't make out the scale. I have an '84 Ford Tempo and '84 US Ford Escort. That was a great range, true American domestic autoshite.

For years and years I had always thought this was a Opel based car because of the name on the base plate. - Monza. The Interwebs told me the true history.

One of my Aunt/Uncles got this for me after a vacation to the exotic Continent. It is a well details model. It would appear diffident versions have been made by Tenko over the years. Most of the transfers on my car are not original. Only the GT ones are.

This is a detailed history of the model in Danish. https://www.teknosamleren.dk/chevrolet-monza-gt-nr-930-931/
