That Lego pirate could be worth some money.

It's the Black Seas Barracuda set. I know as I have just put together my old one again with the wrong figures. I was looking up what some missing parts and I had to have a stiff whisky!

I was going to put it in the charity shop pile.

Some nice bits in your job lot, can't see anything too exciting in your freebies unfortunately, but I'll have a proper zoom in when I get home

I was thinking £7.50 the lot posted as it’s quite heavy.

EvilBay prices are all over the shop. It's probably some slight difference in the decal or something. Worth looking up though.

Edit the figure is called Captain Red Beard.

Also a Matchbox product, though largely forgotten these days.

I remember those! Never had any, but I remember them being on the shop shelves.
They didn’t really take off though I don’t think.

I had them! I'd completely forgotten they were a thing. Had a load of knockoff ones too.

US Matchbox releases - the No.57 Mini Truck being from the dog days of Lesney, and in a colourway we didn't see in Blighty, while the No.44 Chevy 4x4 Van is the same as the one I had as a kid, and heavily played with (it was one of my favourites).

This pair have spent too much time already in their boxes on a shelf.

Adventure awaits!

The actual car from 1968.

Quote

The Alfa Romeo Stradale P33 Pininfarina Roadster was designed by Paolo Martin and displayed at the Turin Motorshow in November 1968. The car was built on an Alfa Romeo P33 chassis and had a V8 mid-mounted engine. The second 33 Stradale-based concept car known as the P33 Roadster featured a wedge shaped design, a large overhead spoiler or aerofoil positioned just behind the cockpit and “beetle-wing” doors. The car was painted white with the interior and aerofoil in brown. It is thought the body was later removed by Pininfarina and replaced with the Cuneo design that debuted in January 1971 at the Brussels Motor Show.

Sure mate. @eddyramrod, would you like the remainder for the cost of postage, say £4?

It sounds daft after just buying a job lot but I’m trying to slim down the collection!

I think these 2 are my favourites from yesterday’s job lot:

I agree, it does sound daft, but needs must, I guess.  I would be very rude to turn down your offer, wouldn't I?  Very  Rude is something I'm absolutely not, so Yes Please.  I'll PM...

We only went to the late boot sale as I suspect the early one would have been pretty muddy, I did at least get a good laugh about the guy asking £10 for a playworn silver Matchbox VW camper because apparently I won't find another with both doors. I suspect he has not been in my loft!

You know when you buy something, you then keep seeing others the same? Last night YouTube suggested a video of a guy customising a Healer Wheeler, then at the boot sale I kept seeing them, so in the end I grabbed this one to make up an X cars for Y amount bundle. No idea what I'll do with it

Gave the Matchbox '66 Chevelle a bit of extra detail, there's not a left to do really, but I silvered the mirrors, headlights and wipers, black washed the grille and painted in the number plates, dash top, steering wheel and dogs, and blacked out the post in the back - plus gave the wheels centres a coat of silver too. I love this style as they look like Halibrand kidney beans, why Mattel leave them black I don't know
