They’ll still go for a decent sum. Probably enough between them to sell the stuff you don’t give a hoot about and get enough back that the ones you did cost you very little. If that makes sense.

I flogged the Dinky Marzal out of the job lot I bought for a tenner, so it made it even cheaper.

Any model of a Citroen C4 VTS/Coupe, any model of a Volvo C30.

Models that have boot, bonnet and doors all opening.

I always like Corgi, Dinky, Spot On and King size/SuperKIngs, but I have quite a lot already.

Recently into Norev, Conrad, Inter-Cars Nacoral, Diapet Yonezawa, Polistil, Pilen etc.

Quite a wide list, but what do you have even if not on that list I may be interested.

Let me see what I have and I’ll let you know 👍🏻

Think I have three Custom Firebirds (and about 4 Rollers now!)

I remember picking up a HW Camaro on the flea market that used to be in Barnsley in the week. It was a bit rough but all there, a guy in America bought it. Thought it quite an odd circle where it’s probably spent 50 years in South Yorkshire then it’s back off to its spiritual home in America.

Yes those three Hot Wheels would probably just about cover the cost of the lot. The thing is I didn't even know they were in it. I bid on the lot for the transporters and the La France Fire Engine. I always wanted the La France, but it wasn't pocket money priced, so I never got one.

I'm now having a look through at what other rare stuff there is, the grey Corgi Cortina being one rarity that I never had as a child. There's also a couple of decent Corgi Juniors in the small stuff.

They are all Hong Kong made as they have blue screens.

Prices seem all over the shop at the moment, £15-20 on a Superchase is not unusual, after years in the doldrums Superkings are fetching semi decent money on the other hand 1/36 Corgi still seem relatively affordable. I might go to the Toy Fair between Xmas and NY, again the prices vary between very reasonable to absolute pie in the sky money.

The La France I think rarely turns up in one piece, it’s one of life’s omnipresent diecast job lot laws, it’ll have at least one bit of one. A bit like it being absolute certainty there will be a Stretcha Fetcha in there missing its tailgate.

My Hong Kong HW Custom Firebird is even rarer

Because it doesn't have a blue screen

They are out there...

Just as mentioned by @sierraman Corgi 1/36 can be great value for money, these two were buttons on ebay last week. A few odd chips, but on the whole in bloody good nick for 40 (cripes!) years old. Soapy water and Autoglym and they look fabulous! The Escort is a metal base, not the usual plastic base you find on red ones, I think its the darker colour the Maestros came in.

I think the early ones did have a metal base then after they went bust in 83 they went over to plastic. I’ve not seen one in the flesh but they did an RS1600i around ‘84/85?

The rakish roofline bugs me though 🤣

Not technically shite .. but i have a couple duplicate models i won in raffles, and I'm on a few 1/18 fb pages where they modify there models, they are really into it and really good, so me being crap at fiddly shite, so I decided to try and modify my cars... so all I've done is chop of the wheels, sand off the brake calipers and glue on some 5 spoke 18' replica cossie wheels, I also ordered a back box for that 90s look..

I've never seen a plastic base 1/36 Escort before,  that must be a very different toy as the regular ones feel solid.

They've deleted  '1.3 GL'  as well.

Interestingly I think all the van variants had plastic bases but early ones had plastic rear corner bumpers, later 80s ones had metal but 1989-on examples had non opening rear doors and the bumpers cast as part of the bodyshell. Weird.

Saving a few quid I guess. The doors were always a bit limp on the vans!
