bunglebus Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Can anyone tell me what would have been on this Tonka trailer, and what towed it? Base says 1978 and 812264. Looks like it should carry a narrow wheel racing car going by the wheel troughs
Tenmil Socket Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 I wasn’t aware Siku did RC too. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254797283947

Sudsprint, Dick Cheeseburger, Datsuncog and 5 others 8
bunglebus Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Hopefully your MK1 will be better than mine - there's a casting line so bad on the rear quarter panel that the artist drew it in the catalogues!

I think Matchbox have a different number for each colour as they don't make as many different cars as Hot Wheels, who changed their numbering system for 2020. They used to do the same but revised it to a number per casting instead I’m hoping for the Capri when it comes out next year but I’d imagine it will be impossible to find.
bunglebus Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Ah I meant the MK1 Escort. Every time I try and sort mine out it frustrates me how bad the casting is.

flat4alfa Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Solido Catalogue 1975 antony denman, bunglebus, AndyW201 and 4 others 6 1
Split_Pin Posted December 4, 2020 Author Posted December 4, 2020 Those mid seventies Solidos are nice things. Well proportioned and nice detail. I used to have around 8 or 9, all MIB but found them strangely impossible to sell. I had to give them away in the end which was a shame. I've still got the R12 break and Peugeot 504 though as they were my favourites. Sudsprint 1
bunglebus Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Quite liking the look of some of those, Porsches Bertone buggies and the Renault 5 are very appealing

Split_Pin Posted December 4, 2020 Author Posted December 4, 2020 Some very far fetched promises from Dinky about their 'Automatic gravity feed' dispenser. They make it sound almost computerised!

RoadworkUK Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 That Lancia Dialogos is a lovely little model. I particularly enjoy the swivelling seats and switchable steering side. Trouble is you HAVE to then get the Thesis to go with it. And then you have to get all the other Lancias. Anyway. I'm in Brighton, and I have found tat. I've only bought a little bit, though. Couldn't possibly not take this home. It's a Chevy Impala, of course, but it seems to exist on eBay mainly as Kennel Club. It's gently (and I think charmingly) playworn, but entirely intact; no broken glass, both sliding windows and the tailgate present and correct. And, importantly, still with its prismatic animated hound glued to the roof. It is, though, sans the three DAGS that it was supplied with. But they'd realistically have snuffed it about 40 years ago, so perhaps their absence is appropriate. Probably not the world's greatest bargain at £3.50, but irresistible enough for me.
