Shite in Miniature II

New axles and wheels on the Morry thou. Base is going to remain stripped back. One axle a bit long the other too short. To my 41 year old eyes this is bloody microsurgery!

Now back to the body in the 'paint shop'...

A random find at a car boot sale this morning.

Brilliant! Was it expensive?

Not really,no.

I don't know the value of these things really,if I'm honest.

I also found this today too.

Corgi service ramp.

Has a slight fault in the mechanism,it slips occasionally.

I'd have been happy to pay £10-£15 for that....(if it was a model I was after)

I'd probably paint grille and bumpers in chrome, but looks good as it is :-)

Like this one...(not mine)

Oh dear, mine is very warped at the front compared to that,.

Also all four door windows open, that's quite novel.

8 different Norev auctions on eBay tonight, and didn't win a single one! However, Junkman may have found me another one incoming from Germany...

Being stuck in a depressing shithole in the Midlands has its advantages.

You can do some retail therapy because you deserve it.

They also had an empty pack of a Karmann Typ 34 which I didn't buy for some odd reason I regret now.

Sorry for spud cam pics, but the MM is complete...I'm beginning to pretend the mistakes are deliberate, like jazz. Anyhoo, better than poo brown.

Finally got the SMOL Shite In Miniature display cases assembled and mounted on the bedroom wall today.

Mostly Oxford 1/76 and Cararama 1/72, with a smattering of EFE and Real-X in there too; one case of 50s/60s/70s classic-type stuff and one containing more modern 80s/90s/00s shite.

I'm waiting on eBay to deliver some brass corners to hold the glass fronts in place, to make 'em dust-proof.

Also encountered more shite in Home Bargains over the weekend:

Solido Lancia Lybras in 1/43, plus Revell Ford Crown Vic peelermobile kit - £2.99 a pop.

post-17915-0-79968600-1538506950_thumb.jpg

And 1/24 Fiat Doblos, only £3.99.

post-17915-0-76386800-1538507000_thumb.jpg

Might be worth checking your local stores, folks - or if you're super-keen, happy to go back on your behalf and post them out to you.

Those are absolute tat, I'd happily pay postage for a Doblo and Lybra...

No worries - I'll be passing on Thursday evening so will call in and see what's left! One of each, if they're still in stock?

What scale are those Crown Vics?

Honestly not sure - the box looked big enough to accommodate 1/18, but I doubt they are - more likely to be 1/24 or that 1/36-ish scale Revell's other snap-together kits come in.

I'll take a look for you when I'm passing later in the week - is there a preferred size that would interest you??

Posted

Thank you.  There isn't a preference really.  I would more or less expect them to be 1/24 or 1/32; if the box is quite big I'd reckon 1/24.  I might have to invest in one when I feel more up to the work.

The Revell schnapps tit tilt and lay Vicky kit is 1:25 scale.

I'd like one too, please.

Inevitably I received this today:

Needs painting in blanc 377.

No you didn't. You'd post pictures if you did.

No worries kids - looks like tomorrow night's route will take me past a whopping five branches of Home Bargains, so I'm hopeful procurement can be made to satisfy everyone's unnatural diecast and plastic desires... who's for what, then?

- Solido Lancia Lybra 1/43:

  • bramz7 x1

- Fiat Doblo 1/24:

  • bramz7 x1

- Revell Ford Crown Victoria 1/25:

  • Junkman x1

If anyone else wants owt, just let me know before 7pm tomorrow!

Postage should max out at £2.95 for a second class standard parcel, so unless anyone wants an entire pallet it shouldn't cost any more for two or three models.

The Lybra model is pretty good, I had both the high-end Solido spec and kiddy-oriented Majorette version that appeared to use the same casting.

Would any one be interested in any of these Lledo models I found whilst recently up my Dad's attic. The boxes are all a bit bashed but the models are ok. If so please PM me
