It does indeed fly, rolls very smoothly.

Seeing as it's screwed together I think I may repaint it.

Laguna and caravan would look good on a recovery truck.

Should any of you have a craving for some shonky Norev plasticshite, please feel free to insult me with your pathetic offers.

They are the Opel Rekord and Kapitän, Jaguar MK1, Simca Plein Ciel and Renault 16.

I had that precise Golf with the tennis rackets and yellow headlights- and crushed it in a vice when I was going through my Morbid Teen phase.

Had them for years, can't remember where they came from. Stumbled across them when sorting stuff out for the additional cabinet, both are about 1:20-1:24 scale. The gold one would originally have been a musical cigarette holder, but sadly the music box on mine has gone. Ratdat has more info on them here: http://www.datsun-france.com/Ratdat/ratdatblog/?p=172

And a couple of recent listings for others in the range:

Feeling flush? Here's a later model President currently on eBay in the USA: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-President-Music-Box-Gold-Ultra-Rare-Original-Box-VTG-Heavy-Collectors-/322446484795

I would actually take up smoking if I had one of those, I was tempted to do so about 45 years ago by my Grandad's Silver Ghost Models of Yesteryear ashtray, but one of these would definitely find a place on my desk. Obvs I'd have to get a desk and an office first, but it would be worth it. Oh, and a job.

It's one of those things that invokes massive wantage the moment you realise such things exist.....

Bit like Johnny Speed cars and those little Japanese jewellery boxes that look like miniature stereograms and "play" a tiny record.

I bought one of those for Mrs Rocker but she still hasn't got me a Johnny Speed.

I may* have purchased another Tonka System set, stay tuned for further news

Those music box/cigarette holders are something to watch out for at the toyfairs/charity shops/boot sales eh? Chances are most sellers wouldn't have a clue what they've got.

This eBay seller has some interesting items up for grabs, never seen one of these Victors before:

Today's purchases. Siku Ford Cargo was a whopping 50p, in typical German tradition, it has a control to lock the fifth wheel and another to drop down the trailer legs. The Leyland Ergocab was 10p but the chassis is bent, however it's got perfect screens so I can use these to restore an earlier Superkings example I have.

I had the 1/16 Frog model of the Mk1 Cortina years ago, never did get it built. Think I may still have the very tatty box and parts of the model somewhere.

Mr Spottedlaurel of this parish already knows my latest purchase, sadly it wasn't complete, but weirdly had 2 extra side lintels and a side panel, so does make a complete looking building. It should be identical in construction to the cop shop. Did come in a battered box and with a carry bag

It's immense. Can imagine it would have been fairly expensive new as well. I've got the Rover 3500 3 times over already but I felt I ought to save it. Sierraman Jr likes it cause of the sunroof!

Today i bought the Corgi Jaguar XJS from the Saint. It even has the sainl logo on the bonnet all for a whole £1.00 from the Shildon show.

I had a Siku Merc artic car transporter with that locking coupling, the set wasn't cheap and came with 4 cars

Bought a Corgi Juniors 'Professionals' Capri as well for 10p. Seems decent examples go for a good £5 on fleabay.

I got the Cargo for Christmas one year and a SIKU Iveco Turbostar the next (they were quite dear if I remember correctly) and I recently discovered I still have their boxes.
