I'm slimming down some of my collection, especially the larger stuff. Starting with an Innocenti Mini Cooper Mk3 by DelPrado.

mini_f10.jpg

It has opening doors, boot and bonnet and is 1/24 scale. Its a little bit dusty and has a couple of marks on the roof. PM me with offers

Also several Schaback 1/25 models including a boxed Sierra 2.0 Ghia saloon, which is tidy but has a small crack in the corner of the windscreen I also have an unboxed black Cosworth Saloon in 1/25 scale (can sell as a pair) which has a few marks also but is displayable.

sierra11.jpg The mark in the n/s corner of the black Cossie's screen is just sticker residue where it had a dummy tax disc on, and will be cleaned off before sale, and both models will get a stripdown & clean. Again, PM me if interested.

These are only for sale as I am concentrating on 1/43 scale. I will also have some 00 scale stuff for sale very soon.

I've got quite a few of the schabak 1:25 scales models, 3 of them sierras but not the cossie. I'm kind of doing tho opposite to you and am looking to slim down my 143 collection. Are you actually looking for more 1:43 cars or just getting rid of the bigger ones?

I won a burgandy Scorpio Schback at the 1986 Ford Dunton open day! I still have it, the fella's who delivered it were quite amused that despite it being a staff open day my Dad didn't actually work there

Hmmm this could be tempting. Depends what you have there.....I have the Scorpio hatch and saloon and the saloon is a right hooker, but is damaged. The bumper has broken off but can be easily glued in place, and there is a whacking great paint chip on the boot, and a paint run on the rear wing, but these both can be rectified with a bit of sand down & blow over with a rattle can, one job I just never got round to doing. I also have a 1/24 scrote ghis in left hooker format that is tidy, but missing the plastic trim on on the front wing by the door.Tempted to have a crack at making one out of a bit of plastic sprue. I need to dig out the Scorp saloon to photo the damage. The hatch is in tidy nick though

Scorpio sounds good. I have done a model car restoration or seven in my younger years so I'm interested in the saloon to complement the hatch I have.

I have a lot of model cars so might have something you like, what marque(s) are you interested in. If you like the German ones for example, I have a mint and boxed schabak escort mk5 cab in maroon, a mint ( worn box) Audi 80 by Gama and am vgc unboxed Audi 100 avant (slippery type) or what about a mint boxed Gama vw 411 or a beetle in the same condition bar a chip on the running board where the door has been opened. I will take pics if you would like to see them.

These are all 143 and just for starters mind lol. I moved house recently so all the stuff that was in the loft is out just now and i would quite like to rationalize some of the smaller scales .

I will get photos of the Scorpio up later for you to peruse the damage. The great thing though about Schabak models is that they do come to bits fairly easily. The saloon is one of the later releases from them, and has the rubber tyres, unlike the plastic wheels of earlier editions.

Ok that would be ideal.

If there's anything you are looking for 143rd wise let me know and I will see if I have it.

The schabaks are nice simple models. One of the sierras I have I picked up at a swap meet for 2 pounds with the chassis hanging off. Model was otherwise mint so I just took it apart and glued it back together.

I'm collecting 1970s & 80s diecast cars & vans now tbh. I've found the Scorpio saloon out, and I repaired the bumper by glueing it to the base by the looks of it.

Photos of the Scorp now..

Scorpio looks good! Interested :)

Do you want a trade in or is it a cash sale? How much if so?

I have quote a few 70s cars.

It could be a trade in mate, depends what you have

I've always wanted a Schabak mk1 Scorpio. However, I am on a strict 'no purchases' diet because I haven't got much storage and I may need to move at some point in the future...IainL, let me know if you do buy it and get bored of it in a few months.

OK well along with the Escort Mk5 Audi and VW's I mentioned I will list models which actually date from the period that the real thing was produced.

These are just a 1/43'rd 70's and 80's stab in the dark at what you might like:

Volvo 66 in Bronze (Mint unboxed) Think its made by Pilen or Mebetoys or something, I will confirm.

Pilen Fiat 124 Sport Coupe in Bronze (Mint in Plastic Display Case)

Fiat 124 Saloon Taxi. Mint, Mint Box.

Mint Boxed Lada 1200 (original Fiat style one) estate, rally support car.

Mint Boxed Plastic Norev Citroen Ami estate

Schabak Golf GTI MK2 5 door in black. Lovley model but needs a repaint.

Are any of those pointing in a Scorpio-esque direction? I will take pictures of any you are interested in.

Possibly the 124 taxi & the Lada estate.

Another in the For Sale/Swapsies. 1/24 left hooker Escrote Mk5 Ghia Diesel by Schabak. You may notice that this comes with a complete set of spare wheeltrims & tyres, plus orange front indicators. Photo shows odd trim on the right wheelarch (black not burgundy). Has a few paint flaws, but nowhere near as bad as the Granada. Has the odd couple of chips, and the left hand headlamp is glued in place.. As before, it will be given a clean before dispatch.

We have a troll in our midst, and a not very good one either! Someone who doesn't like it when people give their opinions on a pile of junk, then spits their dummy out and starts trolling, badly! How very, very grown up!
