  1. I was going to suggest that you resort to the standard response which is to refer them to the universally adopted test case of Arkell vs Pressdram 1972.... Or less subtly Just walk straight up to them. Get a little close, look them in the eye and say quietly, with a scarey insane look about you "Fuck Off, you total and utter Cunt. Don't ever talk to me again, you pointless shit. In fact..don't ever look at me again" Maybe do it with a hammer in your hand. I mean what's he to do....... Might make things worse but unlikely.
  2. All on the Delta II platform pparently. Even the PCD on the wheels are different from GTC to 5 door. The GTC is essentially a coupe version of the Cascada. Which interestingly* can be obtained as a Buick in the USA. *something I realised watch the series Get Shorty" with that Irish actor from The IT crowd. Christopher O'Dowd
  3. Interesting* fact is that the astra J estate is bigger inside than an insignia estate of the same age.
  4. 2 complimentary Astra Js. Mines a 1.4T Auto GTC SRi in white, hers is a 1.6 Auto 5 door exclusiv* in piss green. Very few parts are interchangeable. *Meaning giffer spec. Tend to do long journeys in the GTC and at weekends use the 5 door for local trips.
  5. Just because I can record a macro in excel, and can sometimes modify it, (usually with dificulty) people think I know all about computers. I don't.
  6. Look... On the bright side. You caught it before it ran dry and you cooked the cylinder head gasket. My astra did that and i caught it. Just. It turns out that it's a common thing on them. On some they have a coolant level indicator. On my SRi it doesn't. But it does have tyre pressure monitoring and front and rear sensors. On my wife's poverty spec astra. It has the sensor.

    Pink

This 23 year old astra was very pink, before the application of T-Cut.
  8. When I was in the Mk2 cavalier owners network, I attended a show in Northamptonshire. On the way back up the M6 n the Sunday afternoon, I was in convoy with 3 other members, going north of Birmingham. Anyway we were all thrashing on at erm licence removing speeds. Mine was the slowest and loudest with 115 bhp and a peco back box. 2 of the others had XE 150 bhp and the other was an SEH with 130 bhp. Came across a convoy of Ford RS classics. A capri 280i, a couple of 3 door coswarts, a 2 door RS2000, and a Mexico. We slotted into the convoy, at less than50 mph in the slow lane. For a couple of miles. And then, moved out to the fast lane and all 4 of us floored it. I still don't understand what possesses someone to buy a car capable of twice the speed limit and not drive at least to the speed limit.
  9. I've always thought that Dyanne could do with more Uuuumpppphhhhh. Would this fit ?
  10. Solving the pensions crisis one hobby at a time.
  11. Apart from.the gearbox linkage which is like that of an allegro due to.the number if times they change gear and the 3rd clutch which is new, and should last at least another 10k
  12. I looked at the seller's profile. He rilly neds two yos a spel checka.
  13. Quite small as museum's go. I think they change the exhibits on a regular basis.
  14. Did you mention it to the landlord ? Is the place empty ? No understanding of schoolboy price vs demand curves? Or is the place full, and he's put the price up, because it doesn't impact the sales much.
  15. Meant to put Abersoch into the Sat Nav, can't believe it took that long to get there.
  16. Probably works by getting enough heat into the metal to melt the glue.
  17. The pipe connecting the rear suspension on a metro 1275 sport I owned, leaked fluid and it was quite *fun to drive. Mind you it was only the rear. Fixed free of charge by Kwik Fit who had badly fitted the exhaust so it was touching.
  18. Apparently last week they gave out a number of long service awards. Loads at 25 years, and a few at 50 years. Tony Clayton retired the other week 48 years working there. If I manage 7, then something has gone wrong with my retirement calculations.
  19. Went to the British Comercial Vehicle Museum in Leyland this evening, for a work do. Took some photos.
  20. Did it on a mk2 cavalier. Came up a treat. Get them to the point where you could just leave finger prints. No idea about long term effects. Bumpers are quite thick, so are you affecting the structure ?
