I was born back in 1970 so I have a few decent choices, stuff like the Citroen SM and Range Rover but I've decided to go for something launched at Modena in March 1970, which is also the month of my birth.

 

 

I was sorely tempted to go for the Alfa Montreal but the Pantera just pipped it at the post.

For some odd reason I always favour the cars that were discontinued in any given year, with the exception of 1986, when the last cars were introduced.

 

But here we go:

Going through my 'Hot cars of the 1970's' I found 1971 and 1973 give a load of cool cars but 1972 was rather desperate until Maserati came to the rescue.

 

 

Yes, the Merak may only be a V6 but I still want one.

1977: Porsche 928. Although I much prefer the 1980s 928S.

 

In the month I was born Ford introduced the 2.3 V6 engine for it's Granada II & Cortina IV. The later had already been on sale in 4 cylinder engine variety, so would a Cortina IV 2.3 V6 Ghia automatic count?

1980 was a vintage year; Lancia Trevi, Renault Fuego and Talbot Alpine - and last but not least, the legendary Talbot Tagora.  Granted though, none of these is an Ital.

I was born in 1979 so it's either a Mercedes W126 or Bluebird 910, can't decide which.

Yeah, I done a Wikipedia check too but the Tagora didn't come out until 1981 and the Metro is rubbish, I'd go for one of these though.
