HillmanImp
I did register a few years ago. There are some proper comedy cars on there. It is truly amazing the money some people will spend to totally ruin a perfectly good car.Anyhow, enough of this, i am off to stick a fake dump valve on a fiesta poplar with an RS turbo bodykit
Richard
I registered a few years ago but I stopped going quite soon after. There are some very unpleasant keyboard heroes on there. I'm not saying they're all like that but there are enough of them to put me off going.
TheScrapman
Concise synopsis of barryboys site:1. Person 'a' posts a photo of modified car 'x'2. Persons 'b' through to 'w' post comments about how shit car 'x' is3. After 3 pages of rants, person 'y' (usually newbe) say they actually quite like photo of car 'x'4. Persons 'b' though to 'w' throw abuse at person 'y'5. repeat above process ad infinitum...

mk2_craig
Hehe I could get quite used to becoming a Barryboys citizen. That I've managed to resist so far is evidence that I do in fact still have some willpower left. There's only so many times you can say "That's a prime example of mobile chav toss" before repetitiveness sets in... I think it would be about three posts for me then I'd slope off to the Municipal Vehicles Enthusiasts' And Fetishists' Forum. However, seeing as the topic has been raised (and I'm having a sort-out of my computer hard drive), how about this utterly, utterly wank Paxo WIP. EXCLUSIVE TO AUTOSHITE!! Seen in Edinburgh last summer. Registration letters are entirely appropriate (Insert "stereotype bad modification - check" list here)

Split_Pin
In my opinion the Barryboys site is just a piece of nonsense, thriving most probably due to the amount of controversial discussions it sparks on other forums.Fair enough if these dudes dont like someones car for looking 'chavvy', but no matter what, a lot of these cars are the owner's pride and joy, if not necessarily to anyone elses taste.I think their quest is futile though, as most owners who have their cars pictured simply laugh at how sad they are.Which is why I love this site as if someone laughs at what we drive, it is normally taken as a huge compliment. I can't think of anything more glorious that being pointed at in a spluttering FSO at a set of traffic lights

Each to their own & all that. I think really it's the general attitude of the stereotypical drivers of these cars which fuel the loathing rather than the cars themselves. Granted most of these cars look in my opinion frankly ridiculous but the essential mocking is brought on themselves with the chavtastic bad attitude of these people who think they are the mutt's nuts, cocky, arrogant, kings of the road. Unfortunately unlike some bad drivers this particular brand of people are usually like it outside the car too!
