Hello fellow autoshiters, thought id join this great forum. Im the proud owner of a 1971 Renault 16tl classic french shite and make no mistake when i say yes they love to rot. The trouble is when you drive one and enjoy the wonderful column change gears and armchair seats you just have to have a go at dealing with the rust that normally comes with them. Are there any other Renault 16 owners on this site? One other question how do you post photo's on here :?:

Welcome!

To post photos, they need to be hosted somewhere on the net, photobucket or flickr or similar.

Then click the Img box above where you type your post and enter the web address for the photo there.

Look forward to seeing them.

Set up a Photobucket account ( http://www.photobucket.com ) which is easy and free. Download pictures from computer to Photobucket then select the bottom option under the picture ('img code'), left click, then paste on a thread/post on here.

Welcome along anyhow, plenty of Francophiles on here and there'll be lots of interest in your car.

Yes welcome along, I love Renault 16's and look forward to seeing the pictures.

There is definately something alluring about old French cars!!

Welcome along. Mouseflakes of this parish is a former 16 owner, and I don't know if Nigel Bickle has one (or more) stashed away somewhere?

I own the 16's little brother, the 6. They like to rust too.

I had a good time at art college but learned very little. Of the two things I did learn, one, how to touch type has been very useful over the years, the other, that the Renault 16 has a wheelbase 3/4" longer one side than the other has been of no use whatsoever.

Welcome to the forum.

Hello and welcome! I adore Renault 16s. Hope you work out the picture thing soon! I'm like Pavlov's dog here.

Welcome Pete. Do you know Chris Salter by any chance (white R16 TX)?

I have a late TS stashed away -may cxome out next year.

Eddie Ratley (Ratdat of this parish) has a 68(?) belter- currently in everyday use i think ,although his recently refurbed 64 3 series Dattie may have taken over,

Nice cars, loads of fun. Welcome!

Cor! My mum had a 6 when I was little, I allways hoped one day I'd get home and it would have sports wheels, 4 headlamps, and a 16 badge but no joy

Welcome along! French shite is much loved on here, I am a massive fan myself despite not having owned anything more unusual than a Xantia LX.
