She's been on fleabay (WIL U TAEK £200 COLEKT 2NITE) and it's on car and classic now.

Ebay AD:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEUSX:IT

The car and classic advert is pretty much a copy and paste off this, with the price £725ono.

Not a sausage.

Is it too dear, or does the advert need work? Or is it just that nobody's after one of these at the mo.

May try specialist Ford mag, but obviously that costs more, so I'm trying the cheap ways first!!

Any advice much appreciated.

I'll probably get shot down in flames, but it looks too expensive to me. With the grot and the paint damage i'd not give more than 450-500 for it.

The bidding would certainly seem to back that up. Being a rag top, it might do better if summer actually arrived!

I realise its not taxed but could you risk popping it out onto the street for some better pics? A front 3/4 of each side with the roof down might just help the price up a little.

^^^^^^^ i agree with cats.... you need better pics... i like the car but having 10 years on you and also being bald and fat  i would look even more sillier than you driving it

Cheers chaps, points noted, moar fotos will be tooken....

I was also interested as Bob know but I couldn't see myself driving it!, I've even looked at a cheap 306 Cabriolet on autotrader today and decided I'll look alike a fat seaty docker driving it into the work car park.

But definitely more photos needed!

Yeah, every time I see a family-hatch-based cabrio I think "oooh, I'd like that" but not sure I could pull it off.

Perhaps I'd have to go in balls-deep and get one of the metallic dusky pink Mk4 Escorts, or the triple-white combo ones.

She's a little expensive!

What is it 105ps or 130ps? Only the 130ps is worth having as it goes properly, the 105's are a dissapointment!

Bay it with a 99p start, and a 500 reserve i recon

Maybe you have upset some right on feminists?

'I originally bought this as an engagement gift for my wife ....For the last 9 years, she has hibernated from 1st October until the 1st April in the garage'.

Well, she was mot'ed this morning, and passed, no advisories.

Had forgotten what a crack this is to drive; nowhere near as quick as The Moose, but real go-kart handling.

Anyone fancy it, or know somewone that might?

Gonna advertise it at the weekend, after a good polish - if it stops raining for long enough, going to put it up for £595ono, see who bites, obviously a 'shiters discount will apply.....

MOT Expiry: May 2012

Might put people off if they don't read it has a full MoT in the listing.

@ Mr Retrogeezer: Belt was done @ 73887 miles, now showing 91287 - done at Rates, Ford main dealer 10/05/04!

@ Mr ThePrincess: That ebay advert was from last year; has been done again this week, pass, no advisories.

Would that suggest it would need doing again? I have heard in the past its normally recommended every X number of miles or every X number of years. Is this true in practice?

Personally I'd be looking at doing it again.... 8 years on a belt is a long time even though it's only done 20k.

And I'm afraid I'm still tempted by this!

The last one shows where the material on the inner rear quarter has come unstuck, it's not torn or owt, just needs some fabric glue and someone without fists of ham to sort it out.

Gonna advertise it now, see what happens.

Anyone changing their minds on here? Let me know!

Looks a cheap car really, which needs a little tlc - what can you realistically expect for under a grand these days which looks half tidy, and can get the family into as well.Very nice colour too

Advertised on carand classic, sold to a bloke from Coventry, for £540. Not bad!!

yeh, it looked nice and was cheap enough but was miles away from me otherwise I would have had a look. Glad you sold it o.k.
