I Can Haz New Fiat

A few pics of my latest buy.

1973 Fiat 130 Coupé which I will be collecting in a week or two.

It has been very well looked after throughout its life, 2 owners and only 45,000 miles on the clock.

It needs a few very minor things sorting and I will have to replace the front seats as they are a little worn.

It also has a cracked rear screen which seems to be a common fault, and I've discovered costs £££££££ to replace if you can find one

+1,000,000. Tho', the choice of 8-track grooviness or V6 grooviness might be a thorny one.

shit - I've just squirted love custard all over the keyboard - that's the 3rd ruined laptop this year!

Wow, that is genuinely stunning

Jesus wept, that's weapons grade ACE. Is there a glass maker somewhere who could knock up a replacement?

It was on carandclassic last year for ages, and was priced well out of my price range. I assumed it was another dog as good ones usually sell quickly so I didn't

bother.

It appeared again last month with a much lower price tag and I couldn't resist it any longer! I had a Fiat anorak give it a proper going over, he gave it the all clear so here we are. :D

The question is, how long ago was Buckley a previous owner. He has had all of them hasn't he?

Fantastic buy. I could spread some love all over it!

Hi, Lovely motor, Re screen and other parts, try Dan at paradise saab, i helped him load a van full of spares including glass for one, he bought two couples from up here and took them right down to where he is in southhampton, he inteneded restoring them, but i dont think he did, he may have sold them on, but will know where and is a very helpful guy, tell him lee from uksaabs told you to call, There was a huge amount of spares, i remeber being amazed at how heavy the doors were. hope this helps, Lee

Wow that is tasty!

Would you mind telling us what sort of price you paid for it? I'd like to buy one of these or a 504 Coupe towards the end of this year...think I should start saving now!

That's brilliant - in my dream garage I'd park it next to a Lancia Gamma coupe in the ruinously expensive Italian coupé section :D

 Wow! Just Wow.

That looks pretty good as is, so if you get the bits you're after it's gonna be rather special.

Fiat bloke went through the cars history and told me the last major bill 10 years ago was for FIFTEEN THOUSAND ENGLISH POUNDS

Lovely. Just lovely. 8) I am very jealous.:wink:

I prefer the 130 saloon but the 130 coupé is still a winner in my books. And with a 8-track too!

Sidenote - Is it just me or does it seem that Ford 'borrowed' the styling of the 130 coupé when they designed the mark 2 Granada? :?

I FUCKING LOVE THESE.

I saw one a couple of years ago parked up at my local dodgy car place which I like to call 'Midlife Crisis Cars'. It looked gorgeous from a distance as I drove past, so double backed on myself and went for a closer look. Unfortunately upon closer inspection it was bloody rough, I dare not speculate it's fate at said garage. I regrettably didnt take a pic for fear of being lynched. Not seen it since nor another example.

Great work, look forward to some running reports..?!

I must be odd as I've never, ever found these even slightly attractive. I'll take a saloon any day!

Not pee'ing on your bonfire though. They're rare and still rather wonderful and I look forward to hearing more.
