Been going through a huge box of photos, and I've pulled a few out that may interest you twisted lot.

The scene outside Ma & Pa Outlaw's house circa 1989, Montego as "best" car and Escy 1300L as father's commuter-daily-skip

Wot I learned to drive in, late 1986, early '87. An X plate Corrolla, brown, with 285,000 miles on. The gearbox was lovely as you can imagine. Still the original one though....

Some kind of kitcar in a car park, somewhere or other.....

Nice old 1600E, sorry, don't know when or where.....

I remember thinking that this was the bollax at the time....still would....this had an Essex V6 in it, I've got a half picture of that, but the film must have run out....

My brother with his first car 1989? Le Mans green, quarter bumpers, Mexico seats, a 1300 on an 1100 gearbox and back axle. Worth a bloody fortune now....

My first Capri, replaced the R4, 1300L, vinyl roof, 4 spotlamps, fucked piston rings, smoked more than a kipper. Engine went pop on the way to Gatwick with my mate already late.....

car number 3, GS Pallas CMU781V, rusty old bag of nails. Paid Ã‚Â£75 for it, got Ã‚Â£500 as a trade in....

Rover P6 Estate, as spotted at a random show....

Best use for a Sapphire.....bro' won a few races in this, and came third in the European final 1997(or 98), on a totally "scraped together" car, built for about Ã‚Â£400, the two in front had spent over Ã‚Â£2500.

Double whammy whilst on holiday in Southern Spain, July 1998, a Fiat 127 and a Renno Sex!!

This was one of my favourite cars to spot in the late 80's/early 90's, and every one I spotted was in a condition exactly like this one! Brings back good memories.

Pretty sure that's a Dutton Sierra kit car, based on Mk 1 Escort.

Edit: Just seen the bit about it being a Ginetta GRS and you're right, I'm off to commit harry karry ........................

Had to go to Colchester for work today, then appointment at Witham two hours later, so I spent a lovely half hour wandering round this place....

my mate has purchased several cars from East Coast salvage, usually ex mini cabs with a bazzilion miles on the clock. Most recent was a 206 HDI that had been used as a security car and had a load of holes in the roof

It strikes me its in the tradition of the 70's -80's custom car scene. Loads of stick on tat and no taste or feeling for when to stop....

Oi Seth.........only the poor people just bolted stuff on back then ....most of us did it in steel or fibreglass and it was very tastefull and stylish............to us at least
