Standard for HAs which were more than a couple of years old. They looked absolutely hanging if they got anywhere near a decade old.

AOG90T (a V8) only lived until March 1986, when it was less than 7 years old.

ROU603M survived until March 1985.

My mate's bohemian mother owned an HA - OUF872M. Ex Telecom van which she made last until it was eleven years old. It was already hanging waaaay before then and I clearly remember being able to see the road through the pinholes in the passenger footwell. Entry into the passenger seat was Dukes style as the door didn't open. Thing is, it was the coolest old thing going to an impressionable ten year old lad. I still like them!

This was last taxed on 8 December 1986, with was probably average for one of these.

CLF...T was a North West London issue of August 1978.
