I'd love to see some period pics of Wyndham Court in Southampton, preferably featuring busy executives in Austin 3-litres and Zodiacs

I'd also like to see these. Anyone have any?

Sorry if I'm boring you now! These flat roofed blocks in Kirkstall, Leeds have now been replaced with a bungalow.

It's amazing how a drop of paint can brighten up a picture.

Incidentally, if anyone can find any old pics of Brighton I'd love to see them. I've looked half-arsedly before but not had much luck.

This is a nice one from IMCDB though, this is Guildford road right next to the train station. The chippy is still going, and is the best chippy in the whol area if anyone is passing that way and fancies some. the pub further up is the Duke of Norfolk and has a great quiz on Mondays and hot barmaids. Maybe I should get a job with the tourist board?

The flat-roofed blocks are still there, I had to look because I just couldn't believe that Leeds council would reduce the amount of council tax they could get from a set area of land!

Streetview won't allow the same vantage point however.

Lower East Street, M'bro 1955 (dock strike)

It's like Operation Stack '50s style! Just shows there's nothing new. Except nowadays it's usually the French who are on strike.

Yeh I'd love to.... Ideally i'd like to see 60s/70s/80s shots but anything would be nice!

EFA etc. It's actually quite shit though IMO. I used to live on the next street so went there quite often. I'm still not far away.

Somehow I never went to that pub all the time I lived there. Perhaps I will now...

What a great thread, thanks to everyone who has posted. :D

No Walsall tower blocks I'm afraid , everyone was taking photos of the last trolleybuses which finished in 1970 (photographers have asked for acknowledgement)

Three from normanfield on the last day:

Further to Mr Claim's suggestion: yes, I suspect it is an Invacar, but I seem to remember more than one body style, so were they produced by different makers? IIRC one quite prolific maker was AC, of Cobra fame. They did all seem to be a weedy panda-car blue though...

I thought they were the Brierley Hill flats over looking Withymoor Village:

The Brierley Hill tower blocks are in more of a line than the Walsall ones which are in a little cluster. Some of them must have great views. :D

Charlemont Farm estate in West Bromwich

This has changed a bit, the second block of wide flats has now gone and the windows on the shops on the left are now gone as well, I'm sure I'm looking at it right.

Yep you've found the right place! The demolished block stood empty from something like 1987-2003!

Spot on Trigger. One Sunday morning we had just got on the M6 (the blur in the background) and found it closed for no apparent reason. While we were wondering why, that block of flats suddenly disappeared
