More to come coming.....

A very brief visit to Sweden provided just one spot. A Kadette

And now back on home turf.

Ford Capri

What a beauty, everyone was gazing at this one in the street. Citroen S&M

Now then. Who's first to recognise this location from something from tv history...

And the end of here:

Is here!

Back to the kit...

These have got everything going on:

Whats that going to be worth?

Nice early spec Seerara estate

Spot of the day, Alfa!

Posted Image

WOW, that alfa is ace, the Lancia Prisma wheels dont do it any favours though.

Nice early Beemer 1600 I think

Posted Image

That's a 1602 maybe

Sure someone posted this one a while back, maybe Seth? I would just love this as a daily driver. An Elswick Envoy. Pure unadulterated Autoshite at its finest.

Me! Spotted near Kingsland Road

Nice old commercial. A Humber?

Posted Image

Commer!

Well done, some excellent pics there.Highlights for me - that Tagora and the Subaru SVX coupe. The Aussie pics were brill. Your challenge for the next trip is to get the Aussie equivalent of the Tagora - the Leyland P76.

This made me laugh;

"Toorak" is exactly how Czechs say their word for female genitalia.

Are we looking at the old film repeated on tv recently (peeping tom) or was there somthing newer?
Posted

nope. We're talking tv show that's been mentioned on here enough times though. Soz no clues

Posted

Is it the pub from Only Fools and Horses? That's the TV programme that gets the most mentions on here.

Posted

nope not OFAH. OK here's a clue. A regular on here has an avatar thats to do with it.

Posted

Must be someting to do with life on mars? Would you believe I have never seen this programme.

It's the lamp post off the ending credits to Minder.

This one?

An Observers badge to you Hirst!

A few changes have been made since the late 70s. The lampost itself is different. I wonder if some Minder nut has the original one in his garden?

..Have spotted this myself down London way. Pointless, but then if you have the money or whatever..

Those model-related plates are pretty sad, especially when they get the model wrong. There was a guy here running around in a Corrado 16v with the numberplate "Nxx VRG", he probably saw it advertised in the Auto Trader advertised as "GR8 4 CORRADO"

Posted

Looooong pick up. Quite an old Mitsubishi L200, pre A plate maybe?

Posted Image

A couple over here, think they date from early 1990s though.

Posted Image

SM looks odd on Y-suffix doesn't it?

The vehicle details for WDP 598Y are:

Date of Liability 01 01 2009

Date of First Registration 15 06 1983

Year of Manufacture 1973

Ahh. :)

Anymore Czech swearwords Pete?

How many do you want?I'm going to live there in the next couple of years so I've had to start learning the lingo. As usual, and as always, the first bits of learning any new language is the swear words and how to use 'em, how to order beer, and useful phrases for chatting up the totty. It's helpful knowing a lot of Czechs who live near me.

When I worked for a large VAG dealership they had the reg numbers "GT1" and "AUD1".

Still more to come..

More to come? Excellent, love what you’ve put up so far. The 2dr Mk3 Cortina is particularly good. What’s with all the battered DS’s you’re finding?

That MK 3 is gorgeous. What I liked about the MK 3,was that you could,in theory, get all the trim levels as a 2dr 8)

99% quality update! (I've taken 1 off for the poo)

Fantastic spots EL. Its amazing what you seem to dredge up in your bit of the capital. A couple of them seem familiar and I'm always trying to work out where they are are. Volvo PV Duette or whatever its called in that last selection for me please.

Excellent spots, if I ever take ms_Bol away for a weekend in london the digi cam is gonna get some right hammer (snapping cars I mean). I too like the Mk3 cortina. They're such a good looking car, I can really see the appeal. If i got one I would of course join the ORIGINAL Mk3 ORIGINAL cortina owners' UK ORIGINAL club for ORIGINAL NON-MODIFIED cars only, and not one of the other 578 cortina clubs which blatantly DO NOT give the Mk3 the coverage it clearly deserves, and which also tolerate and even encourage the HORRIFIC practice of car modification, thus effectively PRESIDING OVER the WANTON DESTRUCTION of the UK's motoring heritage.Hey pete M, how are you getting on with the Czech lingo then? I sometimes go there with work and reckon i'm half-decent at languages, but I cant make head or tail of czech, it looks a ruddy nightmare.

Posted

Thanks all, still got some more kit to upload hopefully tonight, plus another "comedy tv location" to work out, this one's going to be a lot harder than the Minder one though.

Yeah all these are from all around the borough of Hackney basically. Let me know if you want any precise locations, happy to help!

This is a great pic, even the background shops look somewhat "period". Wonder what delights are in the Cagri Supermarket? Probably a selection of mad crisps at the least.

Like the new sig, Mr B. You look a bit younger than I remember.

Reminds me of Dexter Fletcher in his "Press Gang" days.

Wow wotta haul! So much to choose from but for me its gotta be the surely-ex-Mail Dodge van.

I'd love to know the story behind that BMW - it's been there since 1985, according to the DVLA!

Sounds Turkish, so nice bread, lamb, aubergine delights and dates?!I wonder what the Black Star Courier front hides?
