That is one hell of a way to re-ignite your classic Mo-jo!! It's superb.

I still vote white/yellow plates. They just look correct.

Thanks guys, Your right Dolly, I'm really pumped up again now!.

I think the coloured plates look best as well so I will most likely be fitting them, I might even look at getting it in some magazines as i don't think I've ever seen a restored one on paper before.

I'm sure I could make that happen...

It does deserve a wider audience than an odd bunch of Tagora lovers. :P (and I say that as one myself!)

I agree, It would be great if you still arrange anything? I do think it deserves a bigger audience then a few blokes on the interweb.

Trig, Bulwark Garage is still there, but is under the name of Mike's Auto Supplies. You can find it on Google Streetview.

Glad you are pleased as punch with it, and quite rightly so

Here's one I found earlier.

Sadly this and a load of other cool rammle got bulldozed about a fortnight later.

Stunning little understated car. A just reward for the crap weekend you had a few weeks back. Have fun in it!

Is that the place where that Datsun Cherry coupe was Pog?

Posted

Just needs a V8 and split rims and it'd be perfect ;)

I like that, and even though I'm someone who loves black'n'silver plates, I think it suits the white and yellow ones better.

Yeah, that's the place.

Looking back I should have just hoiked them out of there and worried about the legalities afterwards. Spent ages trying to track down the owner to no avail, then during a conversation with my neighbour he turned out to know the guy and said he'd track him down... though realise that my neighbor does nothing at any pace whatsoever, and literally a couple of days after the site got cleared by diggers etc.

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The spares from that alone would have been a god send!

It's looks like it was really restorable as well.

You beat me to it! 8)

The piece of glass just slides into the metal work so it should be a easy fix, I find a small fragment of broken glass under the passengers carpet so i guess it's been broken into at some point or someones locked there keys in it.

Superb, that looks lovely!

Looks much better with yellow / white plates as well.

Forget the window, weld the doors closed and paint a confederate flag on the roof.

Be careful when you change the oil filter, the housings can be a bit weak, I had one break off in my hand many years ago, before cellphones existed, left me stranded for a few hours until I got a lift on the back of a James Cadet trial bike conversion with no footrests and rusty mudguard for a seat.

those 'non-black' reflective plates have a white one at the front and a yellow one at the back, thats the convention over here. Thats why theyr're beng called 'yellow/white' plates.

Haven't read all six pages, but well done on the purchase Trigger! I've seen a couple in the last fortnight, an estate and a 4dr.

As you may expect, neither were local - the former was in Dusseldorf, the saloon in a little town in Normandy. Pic's to come at some point.

Thanks Nigel!, I thought you had been quiet for a few weeks, Yes, I think there's still a few about in Europe, not so many over here though.

Is the full story/pics on here somewhere? wanna point me in the direction? I'd like to see what else there was so I can have a little cry.

At first I thought you should keep the b/w plates, but now seeing the photos of mrs.Trigger helpfully holding them in place, I agree you should go with the white/yella ones.

another vote for the white/yellow original plates (think i'll have to search the internet for clip on raised numbers/letters and make some)

I think orange cars make the world seems a happier place.

I've fitted the white/yellow plates for now, It's still very 50/50 with peoples comments on what looks best, I think i slightly prefer the W/Y ones myself.

If you paint it orange i might even let you post photos of it on my thread.

That will be fine. As long as there is marmite.
