My very firwst collection thread!

I love reading collection threads. I doubt this will be as entertaining as most, and nowhere near the Simca 1100 or any of Mr. Bell's efforts, but I'll have a go.

I've been on here for 6 years, and not won any of the roffles I've entered. Because reasons, I'm going to pay the asking price for a vehicle - though I must say it's an extremely reasonable price. Some will know what I'm getting, but please keep it under your hats for the moment.

First leg, literally, will be a brisk*  walk to the station, hoping it stops raining first.

PC = 0 (worringly, for those I encounter on the way)

No, further away than that, and hopefully more reliable.

Arriving in Gatwick. Announcement informs me that 'this train will only be on the platform for a short time'. Not heard that one before.

You think I'm pulling the dodge of taking 2 trains when 1 would do? Am not devious enough for that!

Like your thinking about the car, but the owner is very much alive.

One careful, sadly deceased, previous owner.

And three others, that were not careful at all 😁
