Ford Escort Mk3 RGA Design Body Styling Accessories Mid 1980s UK Market Brochure | eBay

Hard to find a photo, but who doesn't love a tail-blazer?  Seem to remember all manner of stuff like the above being screwed to hatchback boot-lids in the eighties and nineties.

The RGA one appears to have been inspired by the various Capri bodykits that did the rounds back then.

Awful.

They never matched the colour of the tail lights and the number plate ends up bodged onto or under the bumper with some aftermarket number plate lights and make the whole thing look shite.

Single brake light above the number plate, the outer two being tail lights only.

You wouldn't have thought it would be difficult to find a picture of a Routemaster indicator flashing but I couldn't

They have little arrows in them in case you can't figure out which way it wants to go.

The preceding RTs took it one step further and had arrow shaped lenses.

Yep, always liked the Fezzer lamps. Ma_Sterling had a Mk3 Fiesta and it was one of the first cars I ever saw with those kind of lamps, although the Mk2 Golf had similar looking rear lamps, they weren't as roundly-shaped as Mk3 Fiesta rear lamps.

These are mine.

The Triumph has simplified versions of the mk1 2000, which can be said for the whole car really. It has no reverse lights which the bigger car has.

the Favorits have these big chunky things.

With interesting gaps. This isn't just mine, they are all like this. The gap between the two halves of the lights (the reverse and fog lights are attached to the tailgate) is almost as large.

And I always thought the Felicia was a neat design with the smoked lens carrying on from the plastic boot trim.

The taillights on the Felicia almost look like an inverted version of the (facelift) Renault 19

I have a question for everyone.

The pre-facelift Paykan Pickup models (1971 to late 80s early 90s) had "pill-shaped" taillights. (Paykan Pickup production ran till 2015 for more read my blog post here). I recently discovered that these taillights were also used on some UK camper vans. Can anyone tell me who manufactured these lights? They weren't Lucas, as far as I know. Also, were they used on any other vehicles?

I had thought 'Rubbolite' but can't seem to find anything like it even in old stock suppliers...
