It sounds an incredibly quick way to lose a shit ton attempting getting it back on the road tbh. It looks like it’s sat there since God was a lad, plus you know with these things the owner will probably think it’s worth £52 million quid.

At first glance it seems ok, but you wouldn't know for sure until you take the sill covers off. Though usually if the sills are bad, you end up seeing rot just creeping in the bottom of the arches - could see no signs when I had a look. But you never know!

If it's a V6 the original cats were fetching about £800 last time one was offered

It is... 2.5.

Hopefully the current owner hasn’t attempted a home brew conversion to battery power 👀

Update : Guys a bit nuts. He reckons it’s worth 10k - 20k with an MOT.

I left and did not continue the conversation at that point.

it can sit there and rot.

I knew it. It’s worth absolutely fuck all I’m afraid £1,500 tops with a test - that it’s never ever going to get through. 🤣

To apologise for wasting his time I’d send him round a dustpan, brush and some rubble sacks for when it requires sweeping away in 3 years time.

We will come back to this thread in 3 years and update it... when theres just a pile of sand sitting there which he will still think is worth 10k bro.

Its going to be sitting there a while lol

Or you could say it's a shame as you were prepared to offer £9,500 and then when he comes back to you in a fortnight,  tell him you've bought another...

Sounds like the lift isn't going all the way to the top with him, even a really nice S-Type R would be way less than 10K, that old shitter is worth less than £500 as it stands.

It will no doubt dit there fur years with numerous people knocking on the door t find he wants a fortune for it until one day he falls off his perch and his family sell it for the scrap value he should have got years ago.

It happened to a Frogeye and a Healey 3000 round by me.

He must have had a hell of a good time at Glasto. Just what, and how much did he take? A good one, with complete service history, one owner, always garaged and very low milage would be lucky to make £2500. On average, £800-£1500, with of course, a full MoT.

offer to pay full asking IF he MOT's it AND finds another at that price!!!!

or tell him to sell the plate and offer him £500
